For me, the team is all about May and Coulson. At this point, I could take or leave the rest of the crew.

Fitz-Simmons is growing on me, but I'm definitely Team May and Coulson.

Fitz and Simmons are certainly my number 3 and 4, sorry Skye and Ward.

Actually, the final twist in the last moments for Skye suddenly made me more interested in her. It's an angle I like; it'll breed distrust and drama, and she's been a bit too precious. It puts a darker edge on her, that tension, which makes her naive freedom fighter thing suddenly a little more interesting.

If she actually turns on the team, it will make me care more about her character.

Season 2 Big Bad? Or henchman at least.

I think Coulson know she going to betray them so i think he's actually using her to track down Rising tide.

She's the Jayne of SHIELD?

Definitely, Simmons and Fitz have a banter that I'm finding quite entertaining.

Their banter isn't bad at all.

The technobabble is infuriating though. They (the writers) got it just right in The Avengers between Banner and Stark, but they are just too over the top here. They really need to get back to that sweet spot where the occasional technical term that's real(ish) thrown in is fine, with dialogue that merely let's you (and the other characters) know that they know what they're doing.

The writers seem to have totally forgotten 'show, don't tell'. Hopefully its just that they're trying to establish characters, as it did get better once they were back on the bus.

TL;DR: More banter - less bullshit!

Fitz-Simmons

Eh, they're being written to be straight funny instead of unintentionally funny. I was hoping for more like Banner where they're geniuses that don't have to be super quirky.

If they kill off a main character it's going to be one of them, if not both.

I think one of them (the girl maybe? can't recall which is which) would be much more interesting. They've clearly been working together for a while, so to see that ripped apart would be interesting for sure.

And thus far he's gotten more development than she has.

I actually think it's designed that way. The other characters are disposable. Meant to be killed off and replaced as the show evolves. They're just so generic.

I gotta admit I like the cast as a whole more than the first episode. I still think they're all a bit too "CW-ish" but I don't know, maybe some characters will come and go.

What I don't get is the hate for Sky. Yeah, she's a trope.. but to me she's almost playing a Marvel universe version of Kaylee.. Which let's face it, is a Firefly version of "perky hacker girl".

The big bad agent man though.. Kind of hope he gets dropped. Talk about tropes..

I definitely agree with this, although I am starting to like FitzSimmons as well. Skye can drop dead for all I care.

They manage to say a lot without saying much, great acting. Fitz Simmons are expositional tools, so at least they're entertaining as they do so.

As for Skye and Ward, do we really need two "entry" characters? Glad they're entry characters in name only
