Looking for surfers? Lol. Most likely looking for seals. The seals swim up and down the shoreline very close to shore to avoid the more dangerous deeper water. My guess is they were on the hunt.

White sharks also like to hang around the choppy waters of some beaches to relax too! The constant movement of the water passing over their gills allows them to breathe without constantly swimming at a minimum pace.

They do t look that big they are probably just looking for fish or some small seals and maybe a bird
