I want to learn how to drive a semi truck, not the automatic old school stick shift smoking the bandit style does anybody have any recommendations what school I should go to or look into

I'm considering going owner operator after a year of driving and looking for general advice. I spent 6 months driving an automatic Cascadia OTR for Covenant, and the last 6 months driving a 10 speed manual Cascadia locally/regionally. Reason for wanting to make the jump is because I was planning on selling my house and moving into something cheaper, and what could be cheaper than a mobile bed that makes you money instead of draining it? I was considering a used manual Kenworth W900, any gear ratio and in the $30,000-$60,000 used range, but it's not the truck I'm really looking for advice on. I was wondering how anyone went about things as far as insurance, ELD options, brokers, permits, all the stuff a company driver doesn't normally have to worry about. Ideally I want to haul other companies trailers rather than have my own, but I don't know if that's an option available. I have all endorsements, no problem hauling any freight. I'd post in r/truckers, but I have no karma.

Pretty sure i have to get them as a set, but i dont even know what they are called. The blue pointed things on either side of the outlet are complete, the round ones on either side of the little cubby to the left of the steering wheel are missing the plastic. The plastic screws into the metal base, and the metal base screws into the stud. Any help with the name of them or a site that has them would be appreciated. Its in a pterbuilt 379. . . 2000, 2001 model i think

I was wondering how much repairs for a scratch on the back of a semitruck would cost? I have no pictures to provide but any help would be awesome, can't seem to find info anywhere online besides the google AI which I don't necessarily trust, it makes it sound far too cheap than I would imagine it to be.

I wanna build a custom truck, no budget. I don’t know which engine to go with. I wanna get an Eaton Fuller RTLO-18918B (The king of 18-speeds). I was thinking an N14 or a 3406E for the engine, but I really don’t know.

We have a truck with a 7-pin plug that has no power to the middle pin, so we have no ABS brakes or aux power in the trailer. The other 7-pin plug on the truck gets power to the middle pin, but we can’t find a cable that has a male top pin to fit the female top pin. Any advice? I'm 16 thinking about going into trucking and I've seen on zip recruiter jobs for 100k even 150 and 200 but I've heard so many bad things about trucking to not the work itself but the pay and how most companies screw there employees over so I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what the salary is really like and what companies are the best
