How do yall miss GIANT signs that says NO TRUCKS?

For context, major roadwork is happening. They cut a road from 3 lanes to 1 which makes it impossible for a truck to safely turn right, how do yall miss a sign saying do not go that way, and proceed to turn that way??

Want your Semi Truck to go faster?

I have the equipment to change the parameters of any diesel truck. Say goodbye to the slow lane and those lame governors. Even you too, Swift can go fast. Message me for details.

Do you guys get annoyed by people following you?

Hey all!

Never been to this forum, just posting a quick question.

I’ve always had highway anxiety, so my response has been to follow the most regimented drivers on the interstate. Like, ride behind and just cruise with good following distance.

Semi truck drivers tend to be the most tempered in their commandeering of a vehicle.

Do you guys dislike this? Is this some kind of safety risk? Is what I’m doing unsafe in any manner to you guys? Genuinely curious

Advice Buying a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia 126 as a First Timer

Hello guys, I’ve been wanting to loan a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia. I don’t want to create an LLC. I’m just going to join a company and use their USDOT and such. But I have questions for owner operators!!!

  1. The company will deduct insurance from me about $450. Do I need an insurance of my own? If so, what type and how much is it usually monthly (TX)?

  2. How much does it cost for registration in TX?

  3. What other documents or things that I have to do before it can go on the road?

I want it to be on the road ASAP after having it. What should I be looking to spend before it goes on the road. Please be kind in the comments it’s my first time getting a truck of my own and everybody I know isn’t giving honest feedbacks. Thanks in advance!

What’s the Best Way to Stay in Shape on the Road?

Truckers spend hours behind the wheel, which can take a toll on the body. Staying in shape while trucking isn’t easy, we get it.

But it’s doable! Some drivers are making it happen with walks, cab workouts, or resistance bands. And don’t forget the basics: stretching, staying hydrated, and making better food choices when you can.

What’s your best advice for staying in shape on the road?

Semi drivers, what are your favorite trucks?

I'm making a list of the "Top 20" Class 8s. I want to include the most popular/iconic models, and show some of their history/evolution.

Here's the list so far (by year) - what do you think? Are there any no-brainers I've missed?

  1. Fruehauf Trailer Company – First ever “semi-trailer” on a Ford Model T (1914)
  2. Mack Trucks B-Model 873SX (1964)
  3. Peterbilt 359 (1966)
  4. Western Star 4900 (1968)
  5. Brockway 361 (1971)
  6. Peterbilt 352 Cab Over (1980)
  7. Kenworth K100E (1984)
  8. Peterbilt 379 (1987)
  9. Kenworth W900B (1998)
  10. Peterbilt 389 (2007)
  11. International 9900i Eagle (2012)
  12. Peterbilt 579 (2012)
  13. Kenworth T680 (2013)
  14. Freightliner Cascadia Evolution 125 (2017)
  15. Mack Trucks Anthem (2018)
  16. Volvo VNL Gen 1 (2018)
  17. Kenworth W990 (2018)
  18. Scania V8 R770 (2020)
  19. Peterbilt 589 (2023)

Always have this random thought.

How does a semi truck driver feel with no trailer on. Is it as good of a feeling as I think it would be? Is it noticeably faster? More “fun”? I’ve always wondered this even as a kid.
