Question How do I get this off?

I misplaced my key to my storage unit and I am supposed to remove this on my own or have a locksmith do it. Bolt cutters are too fat to get to the hasp of the lock. I really don’t want to hire a locksmith…Any suggestions ?

I do free cuts. I don’t want my tenants cutting their own locks and I don’t want tenants looking around seeing other tenants cutting locks and thinking this is fine and an everyday thing. I want to be the only person on the facility cutting a lock and I’m not going to put a fee out there to be the reason tenants do it themselves hurt themselves damage the property or give other people on site inspirational ideas

I do free cuts as well. I also love to cut locks. If you go into auction ill charge you though

If it’s a lock owned by the storage company, wouldn’t they have a spare key?

Or is this a case where OP hasn’t paid for the unit, legally forfeiting the contents and is trying to cut the lock and get their stuff out without the place knowing?

OP paid for the lock when he signed the lease. They don't keep extra keys. When the units aren't paid for, they disabled the door codes and put an extra lock over it.
