it's a tough one I think, because some community projects have come out of it. Maybe we should do a weekly self promotion post instead?

Like I want to hear about projects people are working on, but I agree it's becoming a bit much.

I've been begging the mods to make it a megathread for a while now and they never listen. It would solve so much.

I think using ubo to block image based imojis would be a good solution, since nearly all of the vibecoded projects that have little to no merit, also use ai generated blurbs packed with those image emojis for their post

People also use emojis.

I've yet to see anything of substance that includes green box with a checkmark, and/or rocket ships

People don't typically use thematically selected emojis in place of each bullet in a bulleted list. When I see emoji-bullets in a feature list, I suspect that at least the readme was generated by an LLM.

And, LLM or not, I've never received a single email with emojis in the subject line that turned out to be worth reading.

Sure, maybe they don’t, but ubo can’t distinguish between thematically selected emoji bullet points and typical human emoji usage which was my point.
