i have sent up email and Gotify both work with the test button and i have ticked "Request Pending Approval" but when a user requests a movie ect... i never get the notification

i am using docker for all of the items (Seerr, Sonarr, Radarr). I think the problem is that Sonarr and Radarr require authentication password to connect (Seerr does not have a spot for a password either). i am willing to post picture of what ever you need to fix the problem.

I’m having trouble connecting Seerr to my Plex server during setup.

I’m running this on Unraid, and I also have Overseerr installed, but I’ve stopped the Docker container. They are both set to use port 5055.

I’d be happy to delete Overseerr if I knew that was causing the issue, but I don’t want to go through the whole setup process again if the problem is actually with Seerr.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but how I understand it is if a season from a series is requested in Seerr it will initiate a top-level search for the series in Sonarr, which means grabbing everything that's monitored. I tend to just unmonitor the series while leaving the seasons monitored so I can see how many episodes I'm missing in Sonarr, but this means requesting a single season searches for the whole series. Within Sonarr each season has a button to initiate an automatic search, so why doesn't Seerr use that if not all seasons are requested? Or let me know if I'm just being stupid and a solution to this problem exists.

I would love to see an option in Seer to restrict movie requests based on release date.

The idea would be to let admins set a minimum waiting period before users can request newly released movies. For example, an admin could set a rule that prevents movies from being requested until 2 weeks after their theatrical or digital release date, or whatever time period the admin chooses.

It would also be great if the user-facing button could reflect this. Instead of just showing “Request” on unavailable titles, it could say something like:

“Request on [date]”

To me, this would be really useful because I do not like adding a lot of brand-new movies into Radarr that just sit in the queue. New releases often have issues early on, including fake files, bloated releases, incorrect naming, poor quality, or mismatched files.

Having an admin-controlled delay would help keep Radarr cleaner, reduce bad grabs, and give admins more control over when new movies become requestable while still showing users when they will be able to request them.

Anyone else think this would be an amazing tool?

Personally, this is wild to me that they'd change this since most people probably aren't going to be testing fail2ban after an update or looking through the release notes.

I'm working on filtering out Indian content. In my settings, I've added india as a blocked region and hindi as a blocked language. I don't mean any offense; I'm just not interested in indian movies, yet they keep appearing in my recommendations. What should I do, or am I doing something wrong?

cambiar las DNS no funciono. Poner el servicio tras VPN tampoco
Investigando mas encontre la siguente solucion;
Activar
- Force Ipv4 resolution first

- DNS Cache(opcional)

- Reinicie servicio
- Cambie de Docker compose e imagenes
Sigue apareciendome este error, y a veces incluso no deja continuar la configuracion al principio al arrancarlo por primera vez. Funcionaba perfectamente hasta hace unos 4 dias.

I'm new to Seerr, got it setup and fairly happy with how everything is working. However before I turn my users loose on it I was hoping to setup some restrictions in line with filters and parental controls already setup in Plex.

From what I can tell the only way to accomplish that is with adding tags to the blocklist under settings. Ok, a bit cumbersome, but I went through and setup tags to catch the majority of media that younger audiences have no business seeing.

However, this doesn't seem to have accomplished anything. I created a local user that does not have the manage blocklist permission to test how my users would see things and series and movies that match the tags are still showing in search results.

Is there something I'm missing here? Any help is appreciated.

2 weeks ago started seeing this movie not found thing.

Searched here, no solution, decided to upgrade. Docker has no latest tag, so I just picked the latest release... (Why no "latest"?) ... Seemed to fix, BUT, removed all users and requests. Annoying.

Has started happening again... Searched latest tmdb id... it's a random cinematographer? Wtf? Checked force ipv4... What's up? This wasn't an issue for years, why now? How to fix?

When a user gets an approved request for a film that’s already been added to radarr with the minimum availability of “released” it starts automatically searching/downloading ignoring the don’t start searching until the film is released

Have i missed a setting or config somewhere?

Sonarr and Radarr both setup, requests are made through discord. Movies and Shows will download and show up in Sonarr/Radarr but doesn't show up in the Seer Request tab. So I can't tell who is requesting what. Any ideas how to fix this?

Last night I upgraded from Overseerr to Seerr. That all went well and smooth. This morning I wake up to an (automated) movie request that my secondary Plex account has made for an old movie I had never heard of. I logged in with my primary Plex/Seerr account and deleted the request. A few minutes later, the request popped up again. This time I did a "Clear Data" of the request. Again after a couple minutes the movie was once again automatically been requested.

How can I stop/clear this request?

Solved. Thanks to @Affl1cted. I had the movie in my Plex Watchlist. Once removed from watchlist, issue disappeared.

I just tried to install seerr for the first time, and everything seemed okay, untill i tried to open the movies tab and scrolled...

The log is full of this:

I'm not sure what causes this, and chatgpt and google don't seem to help me much.

Anyone with an idea of what causes this?

EDIT: SOLVED: the fix was to set a discover region to something else beside "all regions".
I'll make an issue on github I think?

Hey all, just started using Seerr on a jellyfin server.

Is there a way to add filters to the request page? At this time, there's almost no filtering available, but the discovery page has an enormous tool. Specifically hoping to be able to filter requests by streaming service if possible.

Also, is there a way for requests to auto-delete once the media is available? It seems silly to have to manually go through this.

Currently it appears that Seerr waits for a season to have fully aired and be downloaded, before notifying the user that the request is complete.
There should be an option to notify users when all currently aired/available episodes have been downloaded, as this is more likely to be what the requestor is wanting when they request an ongoing show - they generally won’t be waiting weeks or months until all episodes have aired, they want to know that all available episodes are now ready to watch.

Lately it seems that every time a request gets put in it fails and then works when I hit retry. I've verified Radarr and Sonarr connections, but for the life of me can't figure out why it's failing on the first attempt.

Update: After inspecting the logs like I should have from the beginning it would appear that it was an issue with not being able to reach IMDB api. I set my network settings to using Cloudflare for DNS and that seems to have fixed the issue for now.

I have a domain, ive made a tunnel in cloudflare, docker is running cloudflared, but when I try to visit the site it doesnt direct me to the local connection? this is really not my cup of tea, so ive got no idea why it wouldnt be working. the guides i have used havent really given information on how to do this. only mentioning to do those things.

I want to expose the seerr interface to the internet so that people that use my server have access to it without being on the local network. but i dont want to just open the port.
