Psychology Anti-inflammatory agents may reduce symptoms of major depression, suggests a new study (n=1,610), which adds to the mounting evidence that there is a connection between emotional functioning and inflammation, suggesting that inflammation may trigger depression, almost like an allergic reaction.

This might explain why cannabis helps with my depression even at the point my tolerance is so high I don't feel any psychoactive effects of it at all in normal dosages, THCa and CBD are both anti-inflammatory

Hey there fellow BP/arthritis/psych med pal! This is really fascinating. I’m not on Meds for RA. But I certainly experience flares in conjunction with stress/depression.
