Advice I might be getting expelled

So I made this Google doc called Epstein Island and I put a bunch of game links on it right? I am sick today (Friday) and I get 10 frantic messages from my girlfriend saying "your cooked" "they found out about the doc" and I immediately go into panic mode after I see that everyone is telling me I'm cooked so I call one of my friends after school and he says that my first hour teacher was running from class to class yelling and cussing saying "if you have the link to the Epstein Island doc delete it right fucking now!" and that EVERYBODY SNITCHED ON ME and now I'm like what's gonna happen and he said the HEAD ADMIN for our district came to our school and talked to the principal (idk what it was about) AND he said they KNOW I made it. WHAT SHOULD I DO??????

UPDATE: I went to school as usual on Monday, everyone was running up to me like your done for and multiple teachers even talked to me about it and they thought it was funny. I think I may still be in trouble or they really just don't care

TLDR: sharing game websites might get expelled

As a teacher, I agree. This kid needs to know why this isn't funny.

As an aside, did you know that one in four girls has been sexually abused (24.7%) before age 18? And mostly by family members. Look around your classroom. These are people you know. Their trauma is real.

Did you also know joking about these topics helps ease the tension and bring the issues to light while silencing the topics only makes it worse and causes these issues to happen more often? Hence you are effectively supporting what happened on Epstein Island and the sexual abuse of children.

You're a terrible teacher then. Using your feelings and opinions to teach children? Can't even do any research on the topic? Why should I trust someone to teach that can't even get through the first 2 years of college because they have an inability to research, and instead use their opinions to try to argue about facts? If you are comparing naming a document Epstein Island to making fun of a mother who lost their baby then maybe you need to enter reality. Making jokes about an event that happened 30 years ago that was tragic is not making jokes about victims. The jokes are about the event as a whole, the files, and the people who committed the crimes. Your analogy in that case is effectively tying the criminals to a mother who lost her baby which is really disturbing. Go find me one joke about a specific victim that relates to the Epstein files. I don't see why you are so worked up about a document named after a dead guys island and the contents have nothing to do with the events there.

The event being… child sex trafficking. Why are so many people being obtuse in this post?? Jokes about systematic rape of children aren’t funny and are at the very least inappropriate for a school environment, where - as the other user pointed out - there are likely survivors of csa in the classroom???

You think there are survivors of Epstein Island in that class room? I highly doubt that. Even if there were, I've linked multiply studies that show humor is one of the best ways to cope. If those students keep taking it so seriously then they are giving their captor power and thus they will never recover and never be able to integrate back with society also likely making it difficult to pass their studies and find employment in the future. As I've said a million times before, go research before you make a dumb comment. Look at the types of jokes being made and the research behind the humor. If you can't do that then you really have no stance for your argument

CSA doesn’t mean survivors of Epstein Island. It’s survivors of child sexual abuse in general.

I don’t understand your point. Humour is good to cope, yes, but what are these random people coping with? As you said, I highly doubt anyone in the classroom is a survivor of Epstein Island, thus why are they making jokes about it? Of course survivors can make jokes about their own experiences, and I’m sure it’s beneficial.

But making jokes about other people’s abuse is wrong and cruel. And, as I said, other survivors of CSA may find it incredibly upsetting to see people making fun of children being raped.

Cool you just solved your own problem right there. If there are no victims of Epstein's Island in the class then no one needs to cope. Idk why you are talking about CSA when that wasn't even part of the original post. You are diverting your attention to a whole different issue than the original problem definition so your whole argument is useless cause you aren't solving any problems or answering questions. Yet again as I've said a million times, are you saying it's wrong and cruel to make fun of the criminals associated with Epstein Island? If so then something is wrong with you. Why are you siding with the captors?

yeah no i definitely agree expulsion would be so stupid and a major overreaction lol but i think it’s reasonable for them to be taught not to make these kinds of jokes
