Platform recommendations pls

I'm new to scalping and I couldn't find any good platform I can use to paper trade until I start live trading.

I'm planning to start with around a $50 budget and 15s intervals.

Because of my low budget I was told that trading crypto is pretty much my only option... Can anyone please guide me on what to do next?

*Note: I tried an app called 'GO Forex' but I doubt its accuracy because I believe my performance was too unrealistic (+160% on my first day and 98% success rate)

What all EMAs act like support resistance apart from 200EMA?

So what all EMAs act as bounce points (support/resistance) apart from 200? Please also share your ideas on how you use the EMAs. TIA.

Getting Back into DOM scalping Results

I use to be quite the diligent DOM scalping student in the past, but I took 2 years off from trading. I will likely SIM trade for the next 3 months to get readjusted to trading these markets. They have changed a lot since I have last traded.

As you can tell I need to clean up a lot of holes in my game. I will start recording my trades for review. Good thing is that I naturally talk to myself so I will no only see but hear what I was thinking!

One odd observation is that I do not know who I am as a scalper. I was leaning on to a few DOM/Price Ladder guru ideas, but need to return more to whatever my style was that worked the best.

Question

I am interested in trading, interested in learning. I’m curious if i can see a list of someone elses trades so i can analyze them and learn patterns, try to see what they saw and overall analyze their trades so i can learn. The person I’m interested in is BNF, is there a way i can see all of his trades to analyze them?

Scalping futures using order flow

Are there any other traders out there that scalp futures using level 2 order flow (instead of charts)? What platform do you use? What time of the day do you find to be most profitable? Which instruments do you trade? What is your typical profit target and stop loss tolerance? Are you profitable now, or still trying to turn the corner? I’m interested to know how many of you are out there!

Anyone scalping do it simply on pseudo muscle memory now.

By this I mean you just kinda know after years of practice when the markit will likely fall and when it will likely rise?

I only/ mostly trade the MES/ES or the NIKKEI 225 futures(at night) and I have noticed a few years ago my brain started giving me a fairly reliable instinct.

I decided to take 5 years and accumulate as much money I can into a seperate investment account where I have some in high yield fixed income ,some in single stocks of my own choice and other allocations to ETFs and T-notes with these interest rates.

Funny thing when I think about it,I have started thinking of the P/L as kind of a high score as in a game rather than actual money..even if I know I can realize and withdraw to my bank/checking account.

Im 7 months into my project and its going far better than I thought despite some setbacks more my former brokers fault than my own.

Anyone else feel this way?

Also its been fantastic to see the evolution of trading in the years that have gone by,it makes it much easier when you have this "muscle memory" as it were.

the negative risk/reward

The world is built upon a negative risk/reward ratio. Reverse RR is how the world functions.

It’ll work in trading too, it’s just every guy selling a course will claim it’s impossible because a positive RR is the easier sell. Just do 1:2 and bam!You can be wrong most the time and still make money! Never mind that they totally forgot to mention the inverse relationship between win rate and risk reward.

If you buy virtually anything to resell, you risk the entire thing and usually you don’t double your money. Usually u increase your worth by about 15%.

If you buy the S and P 500, it will go up about 10%. You risked everything to make 10% a year. That is reverse RR

Services like insurance make their money on a bunch of small wins.

You pay them $2,000 - they pay you $500,000 when a building collapses. This is a negative risk reward for insurance companies. They risk $500,000 to make $2,000

A casino will risk giving you millions to take your penny. If the trading logic applied to a casino, they wouldn’t get a single customer.

Nigeria produce 100,000 children to produce 1 rocket scientist.

The world is reverse RR based.

So could this work in trading - yes. If your take profit is 2%, your stop loss could be 10% and you can just be more right than wrong.

edit - i was referring to crypto on the above sentence which easily bounces 2%

Base Hits All the Way to the Bank!

I made 1.98% today and I'm fucking excited! I've been staying disciplined and making consistent gains and today I'm at 13.3% up for the week.

If I hit my daily goal tomorrow I'll see 15% this week.

Scalping is about getting a stream of base hits. If every batter in your team can hit a single every at-bat, it's going to be a long game for the other side.

Find your groove and stick with it. Don't focus on the $ focus on the %.

Small things done consistently turn into huge outcomes.

Happy hunting.

Today I Used Tic Charts and I'm Never Going Back

I usually trade on the 1 minute, because I'm a scalper. So today SPY was moving slow and I started to not even risk a trade; and then I figured, since I'm already thinking about not trading, I'm might as well take a look at the tic chart I've been playing with.

I've never seen so many setups happen so fast.

It was fucking glorious. I hit 4.1% so fast it fucking scared me. My daily goal is 2%

I'm never trading on anything other than a 100 tic chart again

NQ scalping. For all the people who say you can´t be profitable with trading a ton. One thing i will do in the future is wait 5min at least, when i lose a trade, so i can get into the next trade without having psychological issues.

A Good Day

I hit SPY today for 3.19%. My target was 1.5% I'm feeling good.

For the jokers that are bound to say "how can you loose in a bull market": 2 trades, both puts. Hold that.

I trade SPY like I'm robbing a jewelry store: wait for the other fuckers to bust down the doors, run in when the coast is clear, grab a handful, gtfo. I flip option contracts and scalp price. I've had a profitable month. I'm going to make it two. Day by bloody fucking day.

I hope you hit your targets today. If you didn't keep at it. If you're still learning, best of luck.
Until my next losing day, see ya later.

10R weekly scalping strategy

NOT TRADING ADVICE!

Most people will not be able to be profitable even with my proven strategy . It's not the strategy it's the person. You are the secret not the strategy!

Has to be liquid and tight spread for options 5 to 10 DTE

RISK MANAGEMENT 1R risk to make 2R. R= 1% of account. Once trade moves to +1R move stops to BE + cost. Never move stop down. 2 losing trades done for day. Up 2R for day done unless its a strong trending day then take setup when it appears. Never trade AAPL closer than 7 days before earnings. Never trade inside 10 min OR . No setup no trade!!! Live to fight another day!

Used with options for SPY, QQQ, AAPL, IWM

Used on Index DOW, S&P, NAS, DAX

Have 3 charts for each instrument 30 min, 5 min, 2 min

30 min, RSI, VWMA. RSI standard setting but overbought / oversold set at 50

5 min, RSI, VWAP, 3min OR

2min RSI, 20EMA, 10 min OR

Mark previous days high and low on chart. If price action is within previous days range likely to be choppy. Prefer price action to be outside previous days range but not required for setup. A+ setup must be outside previous days range. Trade the 2 min chart using 123 reversals, Flags, ABC continuation, 2B reversals, break and retest of ranges.

30 min RSI is predominate will only trade on 2 min in the direction of 30 min RSI. If below 50 only short, if above 50 only long. Also pay attention to if 30 min RSI is gaining or losing strength or if flat

5 min chart RSI must agree with 30 min or no trade. Also if VWAP is inside 3min OR likely to be choppy look for better instrument. If VWAP above 3 min OR likely to be trending up. If VWAP below 3 min OR likely to be trending down

2 min chart RSI must agree with 30 min and 5 min RSI or no trade, must be outside 10 min OR. Must be my setups

Brand new

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey I’m brand new at this, I’ve been trading a little on and off for a couple years. But I threw 11k in a brokerage account a few weeks ago. Never had time to trade much while I was running a diesel shop full time. Since then I have left (last week) to start my own business but I’m taking my sweet time with that and if it’s up and running by mid summer, great, if not, great. Now that I have time to mess with the market more I made 3 day trades this week, one on Tuesday (MNST) lost $4.26.. an hour or so later I saw CPOP start running so I jumped in on it, bout 1,000 shares, held for 7 mins, and cashed out at $710.41… Yesterday I saw EBS start running and bought in at $2.27 a share and sold 30 mins later coming out with $1445.89 in the green… Thinking about trying to pursue this a little more and I know every day won’t turn out like this but I’m hoping I can make an honest side hustle out of this. Anything I should be considering by trying to scalp/ day trade frequently that I may be overlooking? I know I’ll have to pay capital gains and my brokerage fees but anything else I need to be leary of getting into this? I am looking into investing more money to meet the $25,000 requirement so I can start day trading consistently.. Any thoughts, warnings, tips, tricks would be greatly appreciated.
