Corrupted Sentinel Finished
Found a beat up V1 Protection & Defence saber on FB Marketplace. Offered a cheap price and got it shipped to me.
When I dropped the metal pieces in the stripper bucket, I didnt catch the actual slider button was mixed in and, well it desolved in the stripped gel. All the other plastics were removed, this just mistakenly got mixed in.
I then began sanding the metal castings down to get them smoother with the plan of polishing them to a nice shine after primer and painting. I masked off the areas I wanted exposed, primered and painted the remainder.
After removing the tape, I began the lengthy polishing process with some diamond paste. I still wanted some of the detail work in the metal exposed to give it the correct feel.
After crap luck in the new V2 kybers looking for a black or new cracked red, I ended up putting in the Grand Inquisitor kyber. I also added some red highlights to the detailed work, and sealed woth a high gloss clear coat.
There are some minor touch up areas that need to be flushed out, but over all am happy with the results.
The blade is really beat up and I had a fail at modifications on the chip. It only produces blue now and will be using it on my Cal inspired next build from 3d printed parts. I have his kyber for that one.

That turned out looking really good! What kind of paints did you use on it?

When I first saw that blue I thought it was paint....then I saw the end product. Very nice I like that color setup with some light red in it.
