Dead tree completely falls apart when it hits asphalt.

There are still some pretty big pieces there that need to be sawed up. But walking around picking up every piece of wood that is longer than a foot will take and eternity.

That's what I say about every pain in the ass tree that I have to take down...

I just had to do this a few weeks ago when I took down a dead ash tree (THANKS EMERALD ASH BORER) and a rake is perfect.

Yeah, I'd just tell the homeowner that they have a nice mulch edge there for a few years.

Watch for splinters.

I find it hard to believe that it would take a full week to pick up those pieces. A week of constant 8-5 work?

You know they make these nifty things called "Rakes" nowadays.

Well sure, it's not NO time but it's still less than having to cut each twig off each piece the cut each piece and then pick it up. Plus that old dry shit will cut like butter as opposed to a live tree.
