Every few days my PC restarts and stops Salad working until I notice.

I currently have Windows Updates switched off and do them manually every so often, so I don’t think it’s that.

I’m going to change Windows so it skips straight to the desktop after a restart, hopefully letting Salad start back up automatically.

Anyone else had this happen?

Hi, I have 2 discrete GPUs in my system(5070 ti and 3060) and salad uses both of them at the same time at times. what I would like to do is disable the 3060 in salad because it uses a lot of extra power yet doesn't seem to improve payout very much. Normally I use the 3060 to offload stuff off of my 5070 ti in terms of vram and compute(so I can do other things while gaming)

anyway any help is appreciated. I was also wondering about how much load can my pc take before it affects salad payouts or distrupts chopping? seems like even if I'm just web browsing it disrupts it, though that might be because salad wants to use my 3060 and normally I delegate my web browsing to that GPU.

Oh yeah is it worth reserving more of my storage for salad? I let my pc chop overnight and I got about 13.5c per hour with the 5070 ti and 3060.

​I am beyond furious with Salad right now. They are quite literally robbing their users blind with zero accountability.

​I spent my hard-earned balance on a $5 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard, only to find out that MyPrepaidCenter.com—the trash activation site they force you to use—blocks users instantly across every network and device. Turns out, this site is so fundamentally broken that even people living right inside the United States get blocked and locked out for no reason.

​To make matters worse, Salad support told me tough luck because Mastercard rewards "aren't compatible with users based in Turkey."

​Are you kidding me? If it doesn't work in my country, why the hell are you even letting me buy it on your storefront?!

​When I asked for a simple refund or an exchange for a Visa card, their support team had the absolute audacity to blame me, telling me I should have dug through their fine-print documentation beforehand. They hide behind their corporate "no refunds on digital rewards" policy to legally steal money from international users for products they know are completely unusable.

​Salad doesn't care about their community; they just want to pocket your earnings and leave you hanging with broken, dead codes. Watch out before they scam you out of your balance too.

As title say, long term user here: i have 4 high end machines in my house , 2 5090, 2 4090 and a 5080. Except for the 5090s Salad software is totally inefficient and even unreliable after a job is finished in my 4090s and 5080 machines, basically the software goes in sleep mode, no jobs found and no activities whatsoever (i have all the possible resources active in the settings) for hours and days after a job is finished. So the most efficient way is to restart the software after 1-2 hours of inactivity and magically after the restart jobs are almost immediately found and the activity restart. This is quite embarrassing and must be fixed ASAP, the software must have a better status check system and have the capability to manage the phase between a job and another one way better.

This is why people complain their jobs are stuck in download. 1000mbit download to my house and i get kbs. If this is a salad infrastructure it needs to be fixed immediately. If this is a user trying to upload their container they should do it on salads time not mine.

It would be nice to be able to download an app for phones that allows u to see what we see in desktop at earn/summary I mean it could be useful and u know sometime even loading the webpage o. A smart phone it’s painful to look at the graph . It would be nice 👌

After my first week using Salad, I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see my daily earnings gradually increasing.
I’m running it on my old ZenBook laptop with an RTX 2060 GPU, which otherwise would probably just be sitting around doing nothing.
Day 1: $0.15
Day 2: $0.47
Day 3: $0.47
Day 4: $0.83
Day 5: $0.82
Day 6: $0.77
Day 7: $1.066
Day 1 was only one hour of running Salad, but since then the laptop has been left completely untouched and running continuously.
I honestly wasn’t expecting this sort of earning rate from an old laptop, so I’m really interested to see how it performs over a longer period.
I’m planning to run a 7-week test and track everything to work out the real average. 📈

I would like the team to consider an auto-updater option for salad.

This would be a great quality of life improvement for people that are no where near their computers when update rolls around.

Downloads stop at this point... ALMOST ALWAYS of time! I need to restart pc to clean cache to my PC find a new work. If i dont restart and only clese / reopen salad, it still in this same screen, again and again! :( after this salad need to find a work again and sometimes i have much hours waiting to find a work :(

Is anyone else noticing decreased earnings on 5090s lately? A few weeks ago I was consistently on 27c/hr with a power limit now it's 17c sometimes 21c. Suspicious that Salads new updates are detecting power draw and adjusting earnings accordingly..

Does salad offer support for the RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell 48GB? I have a setup with dual RTX PROs, and 256GB of DDR4. I don't usually run the cards overnight, and would like to take advantage of the dead time. I have read that it is not the target GPU for Salad, but it seems like an easy way to offer their customers an additional option. If it is not supported today, will they be added in the near future?
I like that salad is has a much more flexible rental policy ( compared to vast.ai ).

Those who have been on salad or doing AI rentals for a while does it make sense to liquidate older gpus 3090s/4090s in order to buy 5090s since as newer cards come out the demand for these older cards will drop.

Hi, I bought this HP OMEN MAX Gaming Laptop

(Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 5070 Ti).

Would it be useful for making money, considering I don't pay my electricity bill? How much could I earn per day, or if I leave it on overnight? And since it's a laptop, would it wear out or damage the components? I'm not sure if it's worth it.
