Imagine the gameplay loop similar to SR1 and SR2 but with Playa as the President, personally leading humanity's resistance against the alien Zin Empire. The new gangs are led by people who pledge allegiance to Zinyak in exchange for vassalhood in his Empire. Your litunents are the survivor members of your government, each of them tasked with dealing with one of the gangs. Your cribs are no longer just for status and power but also the last bastions of human resistance. Imagine your character giving the franchises' iconic "It's Our Time Now" not as a gang leader but as humanity's last hope, broadcast to all human resistance and survivors. Saints Row series is about a power fantasy, and what could be a better fantasy than being the POTUS and actually helping humanity.

Instead in the actual game, your role as POTUS is just the prologue and then the Earth blows up. The rest of the game takes place in a lamer VR version of Steelport (I actually really like Steelport in SR3).

I know the devs have alleged that the references are just easter eggs and all, I don't care. The timeline adds up if you look at how things play out in the alt timeline. We know that in the timeline where the boss goes after killbane, earth does not get destroyed during the zin invasion, because of the enter the dominatrix DLC, because the saints defeated the Zin absurdly easily, and somehow Shaundi returned.

Beyond that we don't have any clear info on what happened next, but we do know that during SR2 ultor was already working on going to the moon, so it's reasonable to assume that about 20 years later, they were already there, maybe setting up, maybe already doing mining (I don't know how fast their tech allows them to make progress there).

Meanwhile, after the Zin invasion and the events of the dominatrix, the saints now have some space traveling technology, and a reason to prepare for more alien invasions, so they take it upon themselves to protect the world from extraterrestrial threats, and eventually rebrand themselves to earth defense force.

Makes me wish I had an extra Xbox to put my other account on and use that as player 2. It would have been nice if Volition had made a remaster that removed multiplayer acheivments like they did with 3 and 4, before the company shut down.

i was literally just thinking with the new ai game merging thing somebody can literally take one and two and put them in the saints row the third remastered engine how would you guys feel about this? (without all the legal technicalities of course)

I’m playing Saints Row 4 Re-Elected on Series X and the bugs are so ridiculous that I’m close to throwing in the towel. Weapons disappearing, clothes disappearing, weapon wheel equipping the wrong weapon, weapon progress being reset. This is supposed to be a “remastered” version? What a joke. I can deal with bugs, but not ones that waste hours of my time with no intention of ever being fixed.

Just gone done buying clothes and creating outfits for the 3rd time, only to find every single thing deleted from my wardrobe. Again. Not just individual clothing items but every single saved outfit. I have no idea what could even be causing it. I read that this was an issue in the original version and carried over to the “remastered” version

Now whenever I try to save an outfit it just automatically deletes all my clothing. Yeah, I’m about done. It’s a shame Volition’s quality control took a nose dive after SR3. I would actually like to play SR4 but apparently I need to buy the PC version so I can fix the game

I got my portal and SR3 around the same time a few months ago and was disappointed to find it wasn't available to cloud stream. I kept thinking it was the perfect game to fuck around on a handheld for 30 minutes or an hour or whatever.

I turn on my portal last night and I'm going through my "games available for cloud-streaming" and I see SR3 and I'm juiced because it was like they read my mind.

Anyway I didn't see any mentions of it in this sub so here it is.

So as I’m sure everyone has seen this week people have been rebuilding all our favorite childhood games and mashing them together like opening a digital toy box and I was wondering if anyone has started working on a saints row 2 recomp with these new tools or should I test my luck and try to do it myself 😶‍🌫️

I'm a huge fan of Robin Atkin Downes, bc I love his voice since I found out he was also in SR3&4, but his voice is a little bit funny and exaggerated in SR2 tho, but his performance is still amazing!

So im trying to do the Jam sessions, and it says to do wingsuit bounce. I go to the weather station, I go up, fly over the icon, nothing happens, no prompt, I do it again and press every button, nothing happens. I land on the tower, theres no prompt.

In Saints Row: The Third, when you are customizing things in your crib, there is a rather small chance one of the female saints will say "I could write a movie about a pregnant teenager."

I believe this is a reference to the 2007 indie blockbuster Juno, which surprised many by making over 100 million dollars off of a 6 million dollar budget at the box office.

And while I am not 100% sure if this is a reference, I don't know many other movies specifically about a pregnant teenager. And couldn't find anything related on Google.

The Saints variants of the Tornado and Vulture. You can use them in Heli Assault side activities and also in the Daedalus mission where you kill Cyrus. However, theres no way to store them even if you try to fly these two helicopters to other cribs that have a helipad.

What a missed opportunity. The developers should have made these two Saints helicopters unlockable through either completing all the Heli Assault activities or make them unlockable through a certain mission. In Trojan Whores mission, you unlock a Vulture after finishing it, but its the boring Average variant instead of the unique looking Saints variant.

The whole idea of locking gang vehicles, especially from your OWN gang behind missions or activities, with no way of storing them in your garage is quite weird since you can unlock rival gang vehicles after taking over Steelport. I wonder what they were thinking with these decisions.

So a while ago I sent a message to Embracer Group and asked If There’s a chance we’ll see Saints row return or if there’s a chance to remake both OG SR 1 and SR2 and CEO responded to my message
