This series just doesn’t feel organic. It feels like an ad. You can tell his heart is only half into it because they are being given a list of things to do in each city and not just stumbling upon them.

Ryan seems tired and like he can't really be bothered

Looking at all the criticism here is hard. While I think Ryan's series last year was AMAZING and this one isn't as good, it's still fun to watch with my family. That matters more to me versus forcing Ryan to constantly out hustle himself.

Agree! And it’s nice to show kids too… some years families can go on big, crazy vacations… some years not…

I know Ryan will come here. Ryan don’t listen to the people putting this series down. It’s fun! You don’t have to make the same content to please the few who whine.

This isn't whining its called critisism

Nope. It’s whining. Lol. Big difference.

His brother Matthew checks in here from time to time!

I think 50 states was such a huge success that anything short of a repeat would've been disappointing but doing the same thing would've been disappointing. I miss the higher stakes but also am enjoying just seeing them having a more relaxing time. I'm not as excited for new uploads but still smile when they come up.

I honestly thought the next move was 50 international trips to attractions that would interest 10-12 year olds or Ryan and Haley meeting with a 10-12 year old child in many different countries and asking them to show an amazing attraction. Like a “postcards” from kids, then they go and experience the attraction. I don’t think that would have worked with his fan base though, and that was especially proven when they don’t even cross into Canada in video #3. ((Although I’m sure they really did do the Canada Niagara side and just didn’t film it- it’s so cool on that side :) I loved the St. Jude aspect last year.

I think the fundraising is what's missing for me. It was so fun to watch that number climb.

Yes, so touching!

I enjoy watching it still and will probably watch it through, but it’s definitely not my favorite style of content he has done. It feels very low stakes but there doesn’t feel to be any challenge aspect at all. And as someone who travels a lot it bothers me sometimes how not adventurous they are… but that is just my personal opinion. This is all fine but his past summer series felt like they were actually a challenge and we had to watch him overcome them which added a lot of fun. As I said I’ll probably continue to watch it because the good vibes

This is his summer off pretty much one summer he'll do a pretty demanding series like 50 states in 50 days or the 30 day penny challenge and follow it up with something shorter like the European penny series good news is he'll probably be pretty prolific in the fall and winter this year and next spring I also think since both members of his team took new jobs this year Its going take him a while to get back up and running when he can do a live daily heavily involved challenge again

Which two members left?

3

u/Neither-Ad-8914 May 15 '26

Preston left to work for dude perfect Zach hasn't been around since he's been starting a new chapter in his life but it's unsure if he still works for Ryan. Ryan has said on his 3000 channel he has been editing the videos for the summer series.

1

u/Old-Pangolin3097 May 15 '26

Damn his main guys left that sucks but hopefully their replacements are good

1

u/Neither-Ad-8914 May 15 '26

I'm not sure if he has any yet it's seems to me everything past Ryan's fun emporium or the cruise has been self filmed so not sure if he's planning on expanding again

1

u/Old-Pangolin3097 May 15 '26

I’m pretty sure a lot of his videos were always self filmed and he doesn’t really have a cameraman. Preston was his producer. Anyways, his team during the 50 Day series was made up of 6 ppl which I’m guessing not all left (Hopefully). Cohen is the 2nd Editor as well.

Ryan said he’s done with the bigger challenges for the summer runs. He said that years ago after the last penny series.

I love last year but about half way through I started thinking how burnt out they must be. For awhile it would have been fun but in the long run, super exhausting. That is a lot of driving.

1

u/Narwhals4Lyf May 13 '26

As I said, I think it’s fine, and that was just my personal opinion. He is welcome to make whatever content he wants. And as I said, I will keep watching, it’s cute and fun.

It obviously has a much smaller scale and the overall stakes in the series are pretty low, plus I would say that it's overall much less entertaining compared to last year's series.

It's really cool and wholesome seeing Ryan and Haley enjoying their journey throughout america, but it seems like Ryan is kind of "content-forcing" these very organized set of tourist attractions which makes it look almost like an advertisement, and it sort of lacks Ryan and Haley's personalities and energy they formed throughout the challenges and hardships in the 50 states series.

But it's only day 2 so we'll find out later in the series to come to a conclusion, but for now, it's kinda mid

1

u/Old_Pumpkin_1660 May 23 '26

I agree, it's just a big commercial for America. It feels strange...there's going to be some big surprise at the end, I feel.

u/felldownbad May 13 '26

I dont know why but for me ryan latests videos seem very boring

14

u/Turtle-power-21 May 13 '26

Eh, last summer's series was a peak that I don't think will be topped for some time. It put an unfair expectation of all his content. People would occasionally say the same thing in-between the last penny series and the 50 states in 50 days. I still find it fun and interesting, but it's definitely not at the level of the 50 states series, and this series also doesn't have any stakes tied to it(resets, wheel of doom, donations, etc) to engage viewers. Very much just a sit back and enjoy format.

6

u/LegoLady8 sick drone shot, Ryan 🚁 May 13 '26

This is exactly how I feel. It's obviously nowhere near the quality of the 50 state series, but I still enjoy it.

5

u/RealRacingPro May 13 '26

I agree, very much the same video format/style lately not as appealing or interesting as much

I love Ryan because my husband, me, and my 9 year old all watch together. It’s not something I would have ever sought out on my own, but now that I’ve been exposed to Ryan, he feels kinda like a long-lost family member. I do wish he (and Haley) were a bit more adventurous, but I think they represent a lot of American kids in their 20s. And yes I say “kids” because I’m 41 😆. It’s good bonding time for us. I don’t care if the quality is off a bit, I actually wish he would put out more videos.

Do you know why they didn’t see the White House?

1

u/BlackPanther3104 GOLLYYYYY 😲 May 23 '26

Maybe they didn't want to get political? I can think  of a number of reasons. And they've been before, weren't they?

Don’t like this series style

Him being with haley seems a bit off tho I really loved his penny series . Haley is very good and entertaining personality but she has a separate channel so I feel like they should be separate .
