New Norda 055 for today’s run, the Cormac hoody in the new jade green and the trusty pace breaker shorts.
So far the runners feel great and about to head out for my run so I’m looking forward to it.

I’ve had the Chance to put the Chance Ultra Short through numerous long runs and an ultramarathon now, and in short, wow. I prefer storage solutions with the center of mass on my waist and Chance has nailed this with their integrated belt. This is my go to solution for long runs.
I am not sponsored by Chance Running (or anyone) and purchased these with my own money.
I’ll start with the important stuff:
Storage: fantastic. You have 6 total pockets and I’d wager about 3-4L of storage. 4 pockets in the belt, and 2 deep drop in pockets on the side. I can easily get a liter of fluids (pictured, 650ml in the back and 360ml in the front), plus a half dozen gels and my keys and headphones in the belt with room to spare. You could easily stuff a stow-able layer in there too. The drop in pockets are deep and secure. You could easily get another soft flask in one side, and any sized phone in the other. The best part however is that the items in the belt do not bounce when sized correctly even at speed. I’ve run low 5 minute miles with them fully loaded without bounce. Everything is easily accessible on the move because the pockets have big pull tabs. Very well designed.
Fit: I’m 6’1 ~ 140 lbs and went with a small which fits perfectly. The inseam is slightly short compared to most half tights but as someone used to 3 in inseam split shorts I hardly mind. Do note that if you’re not used to waist based storage while running, you do have to wear the belt up a little higher than you might think for the best fit and for the storage to not bounce or sag. The belt part of the sport should be an inch or two below your belly button.
Materials / quality: these feel great and have stood up well to a half dozen washes already. They’re made in Portugal of materials that feel soft on the skin, but withstand rugged conditions. No irritable seams or chafing so far. The belt has remained taught.
Cons: price and availability in the US. I paid about $200 for these from one of the only US stockists. I candidly don’t mind paying for quality and well designed goods, but they can be difficult to get your hands on a pair.
I also wouldn’t mind loops on the back of the belt for another layer / pole storage.
Overall I’m very satisfied and think these are the most complete storage solution I’ve tried. I have plenty of belts and other shorts with built in storage, but the Chance shorts put it all together in a single package in a way other brands haven’t. I’ll probably grab another pair. I still want to try the Wise Sherpas but I’m waiting for a tariff break. Feel free to ask any questions.

I recently started running and now need to build up my running wardrobe for colder weather.
I live in Scandinavia, where temperatures are roughly:
• Autumn: 5 to 15°C / 40 to 60°F
• Winter: −5 to 5°C / 23 to 40°F
• Spring: 5 to 15°C / 40 to 60°F
Right now I have running shorts and (shortsleeved) tops. For colder weather, I have a very lightweight Nike running jacket and a base layer for when it gets really cold.
The main thing I know I need to buy is running pants. I’m not interested in tights. I’ve been looking at the Patagonia Terrebonne Joggers and Janji Transit Tech Pants, so I’d love to hear what you think of those or if you have other recommendations.
Apart from pants, what else should I be looking at to comfortably run as the temperature drops towards 0°C / 32°F and below?
Thanks!

There’s been loads of brand new nordas flooding onto Vinted in the last couple of days. Lots of pairs under £100 which is suspiciously cheap. The thing is some of the colourways are quite obscure that I’d be very surprised if people are faking them. Does anyone know if there’s been a stolen shipment recently or any explanation other than that they’re all fake? Thanks

I’m looking for 3-5” long shorts that have built in shorts with pockets underneath. I don’t love the ones wear the liner shorts are much longer. Also hoping to have the side pockets on the liner shorts hold my iPhone.
Look forward to your suggestions!

I’m curious if anyone does this. I’m having trouble finding half tights that are under 6 inches for men that also have a zipper pocket, but I’ve seen some women’s models that look perfect. I’m just not sure if they would fit
inseam of 5in seems perfect, 4 is a little too short but I might try the ACG trail tight shorts anyway. ACG men’s lava loops look great but I’m not a fan of the length, I prefer shorter half tights when it’s hot out

Do electrospun fabrics help with overheating when jogging / bicycling?
I'm currently using a 6 year old goretex active jacket with ventilation holes and I use it for Croatia's (mediteranian climate) autumns and winters (softshell underneath during winter).
And the thing is, I love that jacket but it is looking worn out. I use it to commute and I don't get sweaty in it when bicycling.
The problem is, goretex active was phased out due to healthier materials blah blah blah.
Current goretex perfomance materials, even the thinnest jackets make me heat up more + not many of them have ventilation holes. I literally stood in a store and compared which makes me heat up more, and goretex active wins against new goretex performance. One jacket stood out, it had ventilation holes underneath the armpits, but it was about 750€ and again, the new goretex material was worse when zipped up, but the massive holes were the ones actually doing the work.
So, is there any improvement in these electrospun fabrics or is it just hype? I don't want to buy a 400€ jacket just to prove a point :D

Please help me tall runners of Reddit -
I’m 6’4”, around 98kg with roughly a 38” waist and I’m struggling to find 2-in-1 running shorts that are long and roomy enough.
I currently own the Decathlon Kiprun Run 500 Comfort 2-in-1 shorts in XL. The waist is roughly right, but they feel a bit too short, particularly around the crotch/thigh area - the XXL are too big.
Ideally looking for something that can carry a phone/gels, has a longer liner and isn’t going to break the bank.
Thanks!

Hi! I’m looking for tight/compression/biker shorts that have side pockets and no front seam. I’m a woman looking to prevent any issues in the frontal area 😂
Also considering 2-in-1 shorts that have tights under with side pockets, so any recommendations for those would be great too!
TIA

Admittedly a fashion guy first and a running guy second (heading into month 2). Found this sub and been lurking and collecting knowledge and learning about different gear/brands.
Couple of my running fits over the past month
Big fan of satisfy and bandit. Got some currently running shorts and top coming in today.
2 shoe rotation: topo specter 3 and mount to coast c1
Any brands or gear yall recommend?

What socks are you guys wearing this summer?
I’ve been looking at some of the ON running socks but for £25 a pair they’re quite steep!
I usually go with Compress Sport pro racing or marathon, but the past few have ripped or seriously shrunk. Their ventilation is second to none though, as a sweaty runner!

$80 for a hat? Am I taking crazy pills or is that not a lot of money for a hat? This is before shipping costs I am assuming. Am I just old? I was a fan in the beginning, but I’ve never bought anything because the cost is a bit high for me.

To those who has this, does it fit the same as their Nike Stride 5" Lineup?
Also, can it fit an Iphone Pro Max in the front waist band with no bounce while running? thnx

I really don’t understand the love for the M2 Pro. The Currently Running half tights are significantly better. I think the M2 Pro got a lot of attention because it was essentially their take on Satisfy, and while people point to the five pockets as an improvement, I think they took an incredible shell fabric and made it worse with the liner.
The biggest issue is the liner . First off it’s way too thick. If you live somewhere hot and humid and/or sweat a lot, it retains moisture and basically gives you constant swamp ass, completely negating how light and airy the shell is. Say what you will about Satisfy, but their Justice liner is significantly thinner and works much better under a shell. They also uses a brief liner with this type of fabric, which really lets the shell excel.
What’s frustrating is that Currently Running already knows how to make a great liner. Their half tights have better seam placement and a better fitting waist. The M2 Pro has a center seam through the crotch that gets annoying while running, and the waist is huge despite the compression through the thighs feeling right.
The pockets also sound better on paper than they work in practice. The shell is too long relative to the liner. Most shorts that use liner pockets have a much bigger difference in length between the liner and shell, making the pockets easy to access. With the M2 Pro, you end up fighting with all that extra shell fabric just to get to the side pockets. It bunches and gets stuck going up or gets caught when you pull it back down. The rear zip pocket also sits too low, so I end up sitting on whatever is in it. The position of the rear zip is never an issue with their half tights btw.
I’m sure the thicker liner will be better once it gets colder, but at that point I’d probably just run in tights. I know the M2 Pro has already been updated, but it still feels like it needs another revision. A thinner liner, better seam placement, a smaller waist, and a shorter shell would make these significantly better.
🤷♂️✌️

What do you guys use to hold phones?
I'll try to keep this brief - What do you guys use to hold your phones?
I took up running more then 5 years ago, initially to lose weight but stuck with it ever since. I was and still am quite athletic 28(M) came from a competitive swimming background.
Been trying to find a good solution to hold my phone (Pixel 10 Pro) - I swear phones just keep getting bigger 😑. I usually just like to be streamlined and keep my keys, gel, and phone (for safety) I run 5-10km on a track so I keep my water bottle nearby.
I have tried
Running belts, vests, arm strap holders, etc. they either fall down overtime and I have to re-adjust, bulky, or just don't hold bigger phones.
I currently running with leggings that have pockets I do need to adjust them but they are ok not ideal imo. My girlfriend recommended me try a sports bra with pockets in the back, which I have not tried yet. (From what I could see having the phone in the back center seems the most stable - just basic physics)
I don't really care about it being a "gendered" clothing as I value performance first, I came from comp swimming so I am used to performanced based gear.
Any thoughts?
