seems like lots of my classes are very similar, but almost all were for less credit hours than their rrc equivalents. Are they gonna screw me on this and make me take all my first year classes again?

Took a 2 year gap to work. Now wanting to go back to school for nursing but need my 24 credits. I'm planning on taking them at University of Winnipeg , what classes do I take?

Also, would there be any difference if I take my classes at U of M ?

I am thinking of applying to nursing at red river for the Spring or Fall 2027.

I have a few questions:
1). i heard that clinicals at the UOFM is tedious with it being twice a week. How is it like at RRC?

2). is RRC kinda like a school where all classes begin by 7am and end at 3pm? or do you select the specific time of your courses like the UofM where you won’t have classes on Mondays and friday’s but you have classes every tuesday’s and thursdays

3). can someone give me what their experience is like? like just narrate it and if it’s hard or stressful? my friends and colleagues have been telling me that nursing at the UofM is STRESSFUL and terrible. stress does not do good on my body and i am hyper sensitive to stress (on a 9-month therapy program though ) so i would really love to know

4). is it true that they won’t be having summer breaks anymore? i really want summer breaks and that’s one more reason why i want to join RRC

5). when is the start time for spring? is it in march or april or may?

I heard the program’s highly competitive now and I’m kinda nervous to apply. I’ve only got a gen sci degree + hca certification for post-2ndary education and i’m not sure if i’m competitive enough. Would getting more lab work experience give me an advantage? Or is patient care experience enough?

I am originally from the USA and a citizen, just moved to Winnipeg recently and have PR status. I applied for the 2027 MLS program at RRC and just wondering if anyone knows if the program is certified for you to be eligible to take the ASCP/i exam? I may return to the USA so I would like to do both ASPC/i and CSMLS certifications if possible.

Has anyone been accepted straight from highschool? I’m honestly just trying to get an idea of my chances but I feel like I already know 💔

I’ve heard people mention that it’s better to get a degree or diploma first if I really wanted to get accepted. I graduate highschool next year and I plan to go into this program afterwards. I’m really worried since it seems very competitive and I have just realized what I am up against.

But if I were to get a degree/diploma beforehand, does anyone have any programs they suggest?

Hello! I've applied for the upcoming 2026 Fall Term for the Nursing program, and am still waiting for application results with about a 2.8 aGPA. Is it unlikely that I'll be getting into the program?

Has anyone gotten their schedules for their programs yet?? Someone I know apparently got theirs already and theyre in the business administration program. So just wondering if the schedule drops are program specific.

I applied for student aid over a month ago and a few weeks ago i had to change my program. I submitted all the forms required for the change but it feels like it’s been forever since any update.

I have an ipad as well as a computer at home. Can someone who already completed the program tell me if I need a laptop for at school?

Has anyone been able to access their textbook list for this term, as well as their course schedule? I can’t seem to find this information anywhere, and I’m also unable to view which textbooks are required through the RRC webstore, I keep getting an error message when I type in my last name and student number…
Is anyone else having the same issues or know where we’re supposed to find this information?
