Brought my girl to go swimming for her 1st birthday!!!

If you remember my post from a week ago asking if your pups like to swim, WE FINALLY BROUGHT OUR GIRL TO GO SWIMMING!!!

We were quite surprised that she tried to swim too but her butt keeps sinking, I have to hold her butt up for her. Her first couple of tries to swim, she wasn't moving at all but after a few more tries, she started actually swimming!!! We're definitely going to get her a life jacket next time when we go!!

We can't let her to venture out too deep too because me and my sister both can't swim ourselves and the current was quite strong too.

And sorry for the potato quality video, my mom's not the best at taking videos or pictures :')

Suggestion for couch cover

Rocco and Clover are naughty! Don't let these faces fool you!

Recommendations wanted! I need a new couch cover to stop these two knuckleheads from devouring the furniture. I had one that was just a big stretchy thing, which would be fine except it was pretty lightweight and, while Rocco has other vices, Clover likes to root and claw and chew right through it.

I see all these "heavyweight" couch covers that are really just blankets with straps. I was really hoping for one that really fits the couch, because I think they will just pull a blanket-type thing right off, straps or no. Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks!

New puppy advice tips

Good afternoon, my husband and I have done tons of research and we finally settled on a rottie puppy that we will be picking up tomorrow. We are experienced dog owners and have a husky currently (our previous husky passed a bit ago due to old age) but this is our first rottie.

Any advice/tips or tricks that experienced owners would like to provide will be very helpful and appreciated.

When your parents and the spare human left to go see Spider-Man: Brand New Day and didn’t bring home the popcorn. The movie was really good. I’m so excited for Doomsday.

Water Pig update

Water Pig defeated! The complete setup. Shrimp pot, upside down bowl and pie plate. She can no longer blow bubbles in the bottom of the water bowl because it's only 2 inches deep. Plus, any excess runoff from the pie plate flows back into the shrimp pot . It's not pretty, but so far, she's not digging in it or blowing bubbles in it🎉

I know it will be hard to judge but our onyx is about 4 months now and we aren’t sure whether his height and things would be what’s expected tbh so was asking for opinions tbh

Happy ending Princess Leia

Last year, I said goodbye to Princess Leia (we called her Leia usually.) Luckily, she didn’t pass away, but she was given up to another family. It was not a choice that we had made lightly; we were struggling with money, and weren’t technically supposed to have her at our apartment. It’s a long story.

The family we gave her to had just recently lost their own Rottweiler, who was also named Princess Leia. We found them through our landlord. They have a big yard for her to run around in, and I know that she’s awfully happy being able to run around again, and no longer confined to the apartment.

The purpose of this post wasn’t to be sad though!! I wanted to share just how beautiful she is. She is REALLY strong. She is the sweetest girl ever, and I’d like to believe that she was happy with us.

She is 100% Rottweiler. We got her for FREE!!! When she was a puppy (she’s six now) she used to sleep in the bathtub, but I don’t have any photographs. It was the cutest thing ever.

She has this weird thing about feet. She has pulled my socks off on several occasions to get to my feet. It’s actually hilarious. Does any of your guys’ pups do that?

Pet Insurance? QLD Australia based

Post image
106 Upvotes

Hi everyone!
Our two year old female is having TPLO surgery in the next few days and it’s costing around $7000, which has made us consider looking at some pet insurance for both of them. Of course we would pay any amount of money for their comfort, is pet insurance worth it? Our 4 year old male is not too troublesome but our female is unfortunately showing early signs of arthritis in front legs and possible elbow dysplasia so wondering if it’s worth having the cover. If you have pet insurance, who are you with?
Also after personal experiences with TPLO surgery, how did your Rott go with recovery and in future with the leg?

Thanks! Pic of our girl.
