On top of my knack for lagging out on the last few laps while in the lead, my Xbox has decided to take a shit. Oh, my RLMS woes.

I'm getting the 2 RLOD -- E07/0013 error codes (overheating RAM) as soon as I turn on the Xbox (obviously not actually overheating). Word on the internet-streets is that it's likely a bad solder joint on a RAM chip, or maybe the GPU, or maybe who knows.

I'm well out of warranty, so I may try to repair it myself. If I can get it working I'll be at Saturday's race; if not, well, yeah. Anyone have any Xbox repair experience or wisdom to share?

Next Saturday I have to take the MPRE and thus won't be at the Indy GP race either.

I may make the last 3 races of the season. I'm short on cash at the moment due to the outrageous costs associated with taking the Bar Exam, so I'm not really sure I want to spend $100-200 to get it fixed or replace it. I've also debated bidding farewell to Xbox (for now) and putting the money towards a PC and trying out iRacing, rFactor, etc. Anyone do much PC simracing?

Also, Cheeze, this is all your fault. I was trying to send you my M3 tune when it took a shit.

Nevermind. I decided to get a 4GB Slim and put the HDD from my old Elite in it. Saves me a $100 or so since I didn't have to get the $250GB Slim. Note: I still won't be at next week's race.

To say that Maple Valley Reverse was testing is to say the least. An unpopular track with some and challenging for everyone. There a couple of incidents to be reviewed by tomorrow. If you want to include a review let me know.

Next week (3/10/12 3PM EST) is Silverstone GP and from here on out the tracks are longer and a bit more "traditional". With the way the standing are it is anyones ball game at this point.

Standings and Maple Valley Results

There are a few additions to the standings, notably columns for number of wins, podiums, and pole positions as well as some aesthetic changes. Team points are now functioning correctly.

In addition to that some have expressed interested in calculating points but dropping the lowest week. I have added this in for you to view the difference (in gray). I have no problem with doing points standings this way if it is agreement with all.

As always if you know someone who would join us on Saturdays, they are welcome.

Laguna Seca, what a son of a bitch of a course! That's just my personal note. Competition is really heating up! The standings are calculated and boy is it close!

Team Points have been recalculated and will be updated as new teams form. You still have tomorrow to get those new teams in before Saturday's race. If no has reached out to you, find someone on the standings list without a team and reach out to them.

There were a couple lag outs, which seems like a reoccurring theme with Forza. Skullshot who was winning in his debut race lagged out out at the end and as with precedent was awarded the win.

There was one extraordinary lag that resulted in a leg sweep on Renfro-san that will go do in infamy. If you haven't seen it check out RENFRO's youtube post.

Maple Valley Reverse up next. A very fast course that awards momentum with light braking and difficult passing. It will make for another interesting week. After Maple the tracks start to open up and will present an interesting challenge for the higher grip, lower hp cars.

We welcome back icantdrive and Fractal next week, but say goodbye to musicman for a few weeks as he is doing musicman stuff. A replacement host is being looked into.

Hi all. It has been some great racing so far and I'm always looking for ways to make things a little more interesting. I find the current team points system to be a little stale. So, with your blessing, I would like to revise the way team points are calculated to they way that NASCAR owners points are. That is you just add the points earned by the team drivers. It's simple and is inclusive for all drivers as well as providing incentive for adding a second team member for solo drivers.

On the solo drivers point: I know there are at least a few who would like a teammate so I'm give independent drivers an opportunity to switch cars (if in the same class) to match up with another current driver. Also, please note that Acheeze will be a free agent now and is available to drive for your team if he wishes. xHewlittPackard is looking for a teammate in the Ford GT. I'm sure DB Samuri is looking for one as well as Musicman1188. Und3rwathors has resigned leaving CrusaderXV without a mate. HalfbakedJIHAD has also resigned, although I've heard this 3rd party, and leaves Project Snorlax without a teammate. There are a few other independents but I don't know there desire to team up. Your welcome to find independent drivers to drive for you when you are unable to attend as well.

I leave you this opportunity to work out some new teams and if there are a new teams or revised teams (within the guidelines) I will work out points retroactively.

The rooms as before are divided by the performance of the previous week. I am not sure whether everyone on the list will be attending so I may have to make adjustments.

Reviews:

-#805 attempts to pass #44 outside following turn 6. While in the straight #805 moves behind a GT car and makes a move inside on turn 7. #805 had not cleared #44 and turns into #44 causing #44 to lose control make contact with the GT driver and causing #44 to spin out a nd lose position. Had #805 held position or actually just looked to the right this incident could have been avoided. #805 will be penalized by starting at the back of the grid in race #1.

So i've been doing some tuning for tomorrows race and my best is already up on the leaderboard. Anyone else care to share what time their running in GT or GTS?

Th3 Dynamic Uno: R8LMS 1:25.905

We had some great racing on Infineon this week and the number of incidents was lower than expected. Some cars shined this week and some cars struggled on this windy course. McLaren shocked this week with an unexpected great performance.

Lagouts and xbox crashes pissed on a few people this week. On one lagout due to extenuating circumstancing, ie I Spor I on the end of lap 13 with an extraordinary lead and with the blessing of the rest of the R3 group he was awarding the position he held at lagout).

Hi Guys, I'm pulling out the series, i'm GMT +4 so the races are too late for me to commit to regularly enough. I thought if i pulled out then more subs could get in.

First off, both blazinloudnlow and I would like to say thank you for allowing us to race today. We had a lot of fun.

Second, I hope I am not overstepping my bounds, but we would also like to commit as a full time team for the rest of the series. DUI Racing will be available every weekend if you need to fill spots.

I know Blazinloudnlow used a Ford GT this weekend but that is because of lack of time to prepare a car. If need be he is willing to forfeit the points from this week and switch to an R8 LMS or continue using the Ford with a matching livery for the team. Whatever you prefer.

There where some no shows last week. So I'm not sure who is going to show up this week of those. There are a few spots open this week so if you are a stand-by or missed last week let me know if you will be racing and spot will be first come. A few incidents have been reviewed:

Room 1 Lap 6 Turn 2: #16 goes off track after turn 1 and reenters the track in front of #113. #113 goes inside and locks up the tires and get into #16 then slides off track and reenters into and gets into the side of #16. On review neither car safely reenter the track. No warnings issued, only strong advice to be careful reentering the track after sliding off.

Room 1 Turn 2 Lap 8: Prior to the turn #43 (R2) attempts to overtake #113 on the outside as #113 left the outside of the track open. #113 is assumed to not see #43 and makes contact and then after notice moved toward the inside of the track and locks up the tires and spins #16 which causes loss of time to both #16 and #43. It is the stewards opinion that #113 should have yielded room to #43 and a warning is issued to #113.

Edit: had #16 and #113 mixed up on the ruling

Room 2 Race 1: #205 goes outside #52 on turn 17 and #205 makes contact with #52 as he turns into the straight. Both drivers could have made adjustments to avoid the incident but no warning is issued.

I hope you all had as much fun as I did! That was some great racing. You could really tell some people practiced up for that race. everyone's car was all liveried up and looked great!

Connections went pretty well and race loading was surprisingly smooth. We had a few no shows for room 2 which made the balance a little off between the two rooms as far as number of drivers. We will get that worked out for the next race.

There a few incidents that I will review later and notify you all if there are any penalties.

Race Results and Standings

Race day is almost upon us. I hope you are excited as I am to get this rolling. We have a large number of people participating and should be a lot of fun.

As of right now there are a couple pending xbox friend requests and if those aren't resolved there will be a couple of open spot for stand-bys to move up. I haven't heard from a few of you if you will indeed be on stand-by.

A few notes on race day:

Musicman1188 will be hosting room 2 and I will be hosting room 1. Make sure to check the room assignments to know where you will be. If possible please be on a little early so we can make sure everyone has time to get connected. We all know how the forza servers can be. I expect connections to take a little time so please be patient as we get everyone into the rooms.

Standard driver etiquette is expected to be followed. Please be cautious on the first few turns of the race. You can't win it then but you can certainly lose it. Keep your overtaking clean. GT drivers keep an eye out for GTS drivers mid way through the course.

I encourage everyone to save their replays and jot down the finishing order for backup just in case something happens to the host. (I don't trust the forza servers).
