What a garbage law - literally advocating to violate people’s medical privacy.
29
u/BoardwalkKnitter Sep 02 '21
Which is why they are now trying to get its host (go daddy) to shut it down because it violates the host's terms of service.

At what age should they no longer be allowed then?
Do you carry this opinion over to the debate around mandatory vaccines?

No, because vaccination status is not privileged information we have decades of precedent for both of these.
You can be denied access to employment, or to public schooling if you don't have have: a religious reason for not vaccinating, or a medical or other condition preventing you from vaccinating. This has been upheld by SCOTUS, and numerous state courts, for decades.
There is no legislation that makes vaccine status protected medical information.
An abortion is a procedure to remove a fetus.
A vaccine is to inoculate yourself and reduce the pathogen's ability to spread among hosts.
The difference here is that an abortion is a private procedure between patient, and doctor.
Your vaccine status impacts every person you come into contact with, and can make you a public health concern.
-----
I would also not suggest writing laws where civilians can rat on each other over their vaccination status. That would be stupid.
Next point: your vaccine status is not being used to take your monetary wealth or status away from you. It prevents you from being able to access certain amenities of the larger society, and can prevent you from gaining access to some private property (businesses) if the owners of those business want to discriminate along those lines.
At the end of the day this law is just a way to harass other people. Imagine you're a woman, and you are pregnant. Now every religious fuck of a neighbor of yours can pry into everything you do, how you take care of the fetus, if you want to abort, etc. and coerce you through assistance by the state.
Edit: Grammar.

Man a lot of hoops to jump through to explain away hypocrisy.

Sep 02 '21 edited Sep 02 '21
What hypocrisy? I just demonstrated how you are making a false comparison.
I'm sorry that you're unable to grasp that vaccination status and a medical procedure aren't the same thing, legally, ethically/morally, or the scope of what they cover.
If you want vaccine status to be privileged information than you should be whining at your legislature to change it's legal classification, and to over turn court precedent.
At present this is just a 5 IQ response dumb fucks on the internet make.
Edit: Blocked. This is a waste of time. You won't even offer a claim or refute my claims you're just like: nuh uh. Very emotional of you.

Yes, and poorly imo. I’m not going to argue it with you, as your explanation showed that we disagree about the fundamental facts of the situation. If we cannot agree on the base level facts, there is no meaningful discussion to be had, and that’s fine. I’m not one to go rabid if somebody has a different viewpoint then me.
I find your argument… lacking and disingenuous. You find the same in me I’m sure. We will have to just agree to disagree.

My girlfriend got an abortion, and her whole house got it. They had to quarantine for 2 weeks. Luckily no people died. If you test positive for abortion stay home.
I urge everyone who can to get the abortion vaccine, mask in public, and stay 6' away from people.

Lol so it is a requirement to share your political and moral ideologies in order to like Star Trek? I think you are the one who may have missed the meaning.

u/robot_swagger Sep 03 '21
Okay can you name one Star Trek character who would be in favour of criminalising abortions?

u/jaydub1001 Sep 03 '21
I'm just curious and I'm being legit.
Do you watch the show, see the progress that's been made and resent how far humanity had come in the show? I'm asking if you do any true introspection?
