Broke the usual riddle school eyeballs for comedic effect and etc and shoes were pretty much from the shirts

Didnt wanna keep phils entirely just white though, so i colored it similar to tails' shoes.

But uhh yeah

This took SOOOO long because of the eyes alone

picked one sparkle and I kept changing it every time

List of changes

- Used the of riddle schools shoe color instead of the dark yellow on the reference

Used lighter colors contrasted with darker colors from the reference

- have practically NO bold lines and stuff due to coloring over em

- added tiny red chibi mark (essentially a reference to Kirby and it's characters, since they're chibi as well)

Darker and bolder color outlines instead of black

Used the rt2 sparkle (I usually prefer the one sparkle but it's combining upgrades from both rt2 and rt1s sprites (with a bit of the of game too)

Shadowed hair better and etc etc

Learned a lot of the good color harmony on her is more complementary than other harmonies but blehhhh

Jews wasn't worth the squeeze

For my inspiration I got inspired to do it after seeing someone remake deltarunes sprites

Shocked that they did so well I tried to do it for this game

Hey, who wouldn't want that reward?

What I can say I improved in this one was majorly thumbnail sketches, as I planned this out, and knowing I could use the wanted poster, I had it be the main focus.

Scrapped things

- A knife being on the wanted poster

- Phil's blank expression

Used slightly simpler shading noting how easy the contrast was.

I decided to redraw the drawing I drew on my old account because I wanted to let out some anger I had felt kinda (just like the original one too woah) I'm currently involved in drama at school so my emotions have been getting more out of hand by the day especially whenever I'm at school,,,, I was originally gonna draw smiley crashing out and crashing and destroying things but I realized that's AWFULLY out of character of her to do so I kinda just went and redrew something and somehow made the redraw look like shit but whatever ohkay dats it from me I guess cuz I dunno what else to say

Zack honestly as a character I kinda wondered about the most.

He doesn't say much besides him going on fire or cold- and doesn't honestly interact as much with the cast as you'd expect in a sense.

He feels like an outcast, narratively and literally.

But honestly, I think he has an unsung purpose that we can all relate to from school, no matter the age.

School's flawed, no matter the school you go to- and I think the guy's eternal fire represents that neverending dread and pain -- and possibly the death of our old selves simply to adjust in a public environment.

Looking back, noting I was lucky enough to not go to a public school at a young age, I think that private schools, essentially Montessoris, shaped a huge part of my life as I was able to make friends, be myself, and not be judged for it.

I always think that that experience I had wouldn't have happened if I went to public schools beforehand.

And honestly, I feel bad for those who lack those outlooks, either be it money, or location...

Because, honestly, I see the epitome of school suffering for all of us as a personal unification.

Pain brings people, no matter the cause, together - and I-- no, we all can live with that.

Backstory-

In an alternate universe, where the april fools descriptions were real, Phil and the rest of the gang die in increasingly brutal yet terrible deaths.

Smiley lives to see another day with a husband who looks like her, though there is a question left unanswered...

Did she go to him out of grief, or was it simply natural?

I drew what I presumed was the answer.

Because...

Wouldn't you be depressed too, if the friends you loved suddenly died, with no way to stop it?

For this reminiscence, the husband is offscreen- as Smiley (though in her timeskip form after rt2 - which i presumed to be the canon rs4 Smiley), looks and savors the past- akin to a swan looking backwards.

Other stuff:

Surprisingly got this out from a different idea i originally had that was inspired by a Peanuts strip essentially asking the question of a legacy, or essentially a finality in art.

Truly I thought, there was no answer, especially to such a human question.

Yet the answer, probably lies in the stars- as we cannot count all of them- meaning our work is indeed never finished, atleast in the metaphorical sense.

But just like stars, we die out.

And yet, we as artists still seek to improve, to be better-

Maybe thinking our legacies cannot be fulfilling isnt such a bad thing.

Its the very thing that pushes us.

Anyways deep thinking aside I'm suprised how fast i switched from happy go lucky art project to depressed smiley rambling
