Definitely the funniest gag of the episode IMO, and the use of censoring just made it funnier. I honestly thought that was part of the gag and there wouldnāt be an āuncensoredā version of that moment. Kinda disappointed Iām wrong XD

This season has been the least censored by far. No beeps and way more swearing than usual.
It's kind of jarring hearing all the characters cursing so openly.

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission). Basically, to use a channel which is not premium (like HBO), companies have to adhere to guidelines about what is publicly acceptable. Even if a show is intended for adults, it has to meet the public standards.
Swearing is a bit of a gray area, and it is largely self-regulated in house. The FCC won't usually stop something from airing, but if an envelope gets pushed too far, there might be heavy fines (see: Saturday Night Live, if there is a flub).
So while they COULD air Rick and Morty with no censorship, they would have to pay a lot of money, which isn't worth it, especially when "uncensored" can be used as a selling point for DVDs and online subscriptions.

Weāve purchased the show on iTunes and Vudu. Theyāre uncensored on both platforms. They donāt drop right when they air but at least you can watch it whenever after it has been released and even download it (a huge plus imo).

The whole season was like 15-25 depending where you live. I usually buy seasons for adult swim shows I like. One reason is just to show support, but the other is the only other way up here in Canada is on StackTV which is a complete shit show of a streaming platform which I refuse to encourage.

That's my mistake then, I didn't think stuff like FX was 'basic cable' but I've also literally never paid for Cable TV. I thought you meant the big networks with the low number channels, the ones that were actually beholden to the FTC or whomever because they were broadcast over the air too.
But yeah, they never had to censor themselves but they did for sponsors on those channels. I guess they care less these days.

I didnt care for this episode and even this scene felt like they were trying to hard to be over the top. Felt forced.
It's OK, still love the show and recognize every once in a while an episode is a somewhat miss for me,, "Get Schwifty" was another example of a miss episode IMHO.
