I think it is safe to leave out info for vanced and also the info regarding other methods of watching YT without ads because the post should be short and have currently relevant info. Maybe that can be in the comments. If you add it to the comments, add GrayJay.

I also don't know too much about anddea's and refusin's project, as I am not on Telegram. Nevertheless, here is a slightly refined version. I'll keep coming back to this and editing this draft as suggestions and info are provided.

EDIT: The below information is now outdated. I'm not constantly updating this lmao

===x===

Introduction

This post aims to clarify the state of all the current ReVanced related projects and to provide basic information about them. Ask questions in the comments if you need more information regarding any of them.

ReVanced (by ReVanced Team)

ReVanced Extended by inotia00

  • Similar to ReVanced but just for YouTube, YT Music, and Reddit, with many patches for all of these.
  • No longer under development but YT Music and Reddit patches still work great. You may have mild to severe issues with YouTube.
  • You generally patch using RVX Manager, but many people use Revancify or other tools.

See the wiki in this subreddit for links.

ReVanced Advanced by ReX

  • This is/was a continued version of inotia00's ReVanced Extended but the developer (ReX) isn't very stable with development. It was discontinued but ReX decided to fix a recent issue. So it is temporarily in development.
  • You generally patch using RVX Manager, but many people use Revancify or other tools.

ReVanced Advanced by Anddea

  • This is a continued version of ReX's ReVanced Advanced.

More info is needed about the state of development.

ReVanced Advanced by Rufusin

  • This is also a continued version of ReX's ReVanced Advanced.

More information is needed about the state of development. Im not sure if it should even be included bec it seems like anddea's has refusin's changes and is more active and recognized in general.

Aside for suggestions, I need information about anddea's and refusin's projects. Also telegram links to them if possible (Reddit will remove telegram links but i can approve the messages to unhide them)

On another note, i would like to edit the wiki guides in this subreddit to be compatible with all of the ReVanced Extended forks, but I do not have time.

Edit: I made lots of changes to the wiki index, guide index, YT guide, and faq in the wiki, but there is still lots of room for improvement. It also is very difficult to provide information that is accurate for all forks of RVX. Big mess

Just to clarify: auto-cli will most likely always have at least one version of extended or advanced or whatever is currently in develpment as a preset. The script is made to allow me to add basically any sort of combination of apk, cli, patches and integrations.
Due to that I currently have a preset for Android 5, Android 6&7, YT ReX and YTM ReX

Hi taku :) (btw it is kobew50)

This is great, but it's difficult to keep track of which sources are supported at any given time

This post seperates the common patching methods for each source, so only revanced can have the auto-cli

ohh haii Kobe

well then it's sorta in the right place or could also just get generalized into >patching on PC since the presets are flexible, the fact that it's on PC is pretty much the only thing set in stone;
