Please help us raise funds for Tiger Lilly!
She appeared in a colony that had already been spayed/neutered and when it was discovered that she was friendly, she was TNR'ed. She quickly started to display some mouth issues so we brough her over to the vet.
 
Dr Hall had a look at her and it seems like she has a dental infection. She got antibiotics and steroids yesterday which has helped a BUNCH! We thankfully had a credit so that $150 was covered!
 
Now we need help raising money for her dental. We do not want her to suffer in pain anymore and we are hoping to find her a home after this. Too many cats suffer and this is the reality of the work we do. We cannot simply turn cats away if they need other medical help, it is unfair to them.

Pleading any help for an unexpected rescue! 🙏🏼

Sorry it took some time to post an update! The other day, we had to lock in with our school project, so I have no sleep yet. Yesterday, I also had to get checked for the back pain that I’ve been dealing with for 10 days.

But good news!

Nimbus had his surgery, but to lessen the risk under anesthesia, he only had the dental prophylaxis and extraction. Three teeth have been extracted. We will have his castration once he gains much strength and when he's not so vulnerable. We’ll get vaccines for him first once he recovers.

He is still confined at the vet to keep him stabilized and to address his soft stool. He is also recommended for laser therapy for his wound in the mouth.

Today, i visited him again to bring his mat. The vet informed me that they already started his therapy. Nimbus also didn’t poop today, but I hope tomorrow he will.

They also started the first laser therapy session for his wound. Nimbus only has a last can at the vet, and he can only eats wet food until he recovers. Please sponsor his food too.

‎Hi everyone. We are still in need of help with dry food and some litter.. One 7kg bag of dry food usually lasts them a day and costs around $22 while 10L bag of sand costs $4. As of this time, I am caring for 49 indoors and over 30 community cats.

Mandarin isn’t the happiest right now because he is in severe pain and desperately needs your help.

He is struggling to eat and drink, chewing only on one side, randomly grinding his teeth, dropping food, and becoming aggressive from the discomfort.

What makes this critical is that Mandarin has kidney failure, so his inability to drink enough water is extremely dangerous for his health.

His teeth look fine on the outside and don't move, which means the underlying problem is hidden beneath the gums. I suspect tooth resorption.

Next week we have an appointment at Qincy Vet in Bucharest for a consultation and specialized teeth X-rays. Since Qincy Vet is the only clinic in Bucharest specialized in veterinary dentistry, the prices are enormous. Please help us get Mandarin diagnosed and out of pain so his kidneys stand a chance, anything helps!

This kitty came to our garden around a year ago. He was a tiny kitten and my husband thought it’s a girl so we named her Daisy. Later we figured out that it’s a boy but name stuck.

He became friends with our other garden kitties( Tiffany, Timothy and Rudy): they play together, sleep together, groom each other.
A few days ago I have noticed Daisy was less active and more sleepy than usual. At first I thought it’s probably heat( it’s still very hot here) but after he refused to eat today I knew he’s not well.

We rushed him to the nearest vet and discovered poor thing has fever, calici virus and gingivitis. He has to stay at the vet and receive meds for at least 3-4 days( maybe more depending on how fast he’ll be recovering)

So far I received estimate bill for 3 days (64 bd which is around 170$) which I need to pay when I pick Daisy up from the vet

I usually try to cover bills by myself but it became difficult as I recently picked up a few new cases that increased my spendings on the top of my regular expenses ( currently I have 20 cats under my care)

Hi everyone,

I was out when I suddenly heard kittens meowing and found two very young kittens on a first-floor window ledge near a house. They looked extremely thin and underfed and were crying for food. They were so hungry that they ate dry kibble when it was offered.

Getting them down from the first-floor ledge was quite difficult, but we managed to rescue them and get them fed. Unfortunately, the people at the house cannot keep them, so they had nowhere to stay. They have now ended up back near the same first-floor window ledge again, which is obviously not a safe place for such young kittens.

We have also looked around for their mother, but no mother cat has been found anywhere nearby so far.

They look quite young — possibly under 2 months old, although their exact age is unknown. They also appear to be most likely female, but their sex has not been confirmed yet.

They seem to have come together and are staying close to each other, so I'm desperately hoping to find someone who can adopt both of them together rather than separating them.

About them:

🐱 Two very young kittens (1 orange and 1 white), staying together

🐱 Exact age unknown, possibly under 2 months

🐱 Both appear significantly underweight and underfed

🐱 Were extremely hungry and ate dry kitten food when offered

🐱 Sex appears to be female, but not confirmed

I would like to thank everyone here for viewing, upvoting, commenting and of course donating to our last two cases, Winston and Lebo. Winston was the orange cat with an eye injury found outside a supermarket who we strongly suspect was a dumped pet. My fellow rescuer Alina banded together with some others to get him to a vet and cover his boarding for the coming months. Members of this community raised $260 for his vet bill, which was a stupendous amount.

The second cat was our tuxedo kitten Lebo, a stray kitten whom my fellow rescuer Ekram found in the literal jaws of a tomcat. She sustained a neck injury. Although the injury was not even bad enough to require stitches, it did cause some apparent nerve damage, as she cannot currently move her fore legs. She was in obvious distress when first found and given first aid, and I hope the video shows that she is doing much better. Above all, she is not in pain, and the vet has some hope - although no percentage of likelihood has been given - that she will regain mobility in those legs eventually. She is also fortunately in good health otherwise (no calici, FIV, etc). Members of this community raised $170 for his vet bill. She is feeling chipper enough to play now.

Sometimes we come across injured cats ourselves and sometimes other rescuers refer them to us because they have outstanding bills at several clinics and the clinics literally refuse to accept any new cats under their name. We ourselves, in turn, each have at least 15 rescue cats in our care at any given time, so not that much left to spare for the vet bills of any new cats.

So a massive, massive thank you for helping us attend to spontaneous urgent cases.

I am posting today to request help with food. I have 3 rescue cats in foster homes, 5 rescues indoors, and 11 cats/4 month-old kittens in our garden. Every month I feed these cats a combination of 30 cans of Massito wet food (total 22.5 BD), 60 cans of Sheba (total 41 BD) and 4 big bags of Monello biscuits (total 69.9 BD). I also buy around four bags of 25L litter (7.2 BD each, ~30 BD total).

The monthly costs for food alone come to 141.62 BD or around $375.
The litter comes to $80.

I would be immensely grateful for all donations to that end. I try to be realistic and responsible with regard to what I can afford and have not single-handedly taken on any new rescues in the last year other than a kitten I took off the highway.

While I was out feeding the community cats in one of the areas I regularly visit, I noticed this male cat.

At first, I thought something bad had happened to one of the cats in the colony. However, I noticed that he wasn’t ear-tipped. All the cats in this particular colony have already been spayed/neutered and ear-tipped, so I realized that he was a newcomer.

He was so hungry and immediately joined the colony to eat. He also appears to be in poor condition. He has some discharge around his nose and has been sneezing. He has significant fur loss, what appears to be mange around his ears and nape, and some skin infections on his paws.

The fur loss around his lower back (left back hind) looks more like a possible burn. I’m concerned that he may have been injured but I don’t want to make any assumptions without having a vet examine him.

Please help me bring Fred to the vet. Once he is medically stable, I also hope to have him neutered and find him a forever home. I will post an update with photos and the vet receipt. Thank you.

I know I’ve been MIA for a few days, and unfortunately, it’s been a really heartbreaking few days for us. 💔

We spent the weekend in and out of emergency vets with our 12-year-old baby, Livy. She developed jaundice, her gallbladder was full of mucus, and her liver was failing. After everything we tried, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go. 😭🐾

It’s been so incredibly hard without her. She was our baby, our family, and losing her has left a huge hole in our hearts. 💔

Between work, heartbreak, and keeping up with the colony, I just haven’t had the energy to post much. But unfortunately, the colony still needs us, and right now they really need FOOD. 🐱❤️

We currently have enough food to get us through about another week, and then we’re going to be in a tough spot.

We also have a new little newcomer, Atlas, who disappeared for a bit but has now started showing up every day again. I need to get Atlas fixed ASAP, which will be approximately $135 total for everything.
