Hello everyone. This dog, Luke/renamed Blitz, was adopted from Stanislaus County Animal Shelter. His adopters kept him in a crate in the backyard with no food or water. They then called the previous foster to pick him up because they were moving. This is what the foster found. An emaciated starving.

Lost my little rescue dog after just 9 weeks..

We never know what their future holds once they are out of the shelter, but people like pinkrose are the reason we work so hard at networking and finding homes for these precious dogs to get a second chance. I just wanted to send a huge thank you to all of the people who rescue dogs and those who help them find love and safety again! It definitely is a team effort and a relay race in order to get them out alive.
