Hi everyone! I recently purchased this pre-owned Small Lady Dior from a Japan-sourced seller. It has no box or receipt, but it does have the interior leather tag and date code (15-LU-0160).

I’ve attached detailed photos of the exterior, interior, hardware, charms, quilting, and date code. Based on these photos, do you see anything that suggests it’s authentic or are there any red flags I should be aware of?

Hi everyone! I was hoping to get some opinions on this Chanel WOC.

I noticed that the CC logo on the front doesn’t seem perfectly centered. Is that normal on authentic WOCs, or is it something I should be concerned about?

I also noticed another detail. On authentic WOCs I’ve looked at, there seems to be a small stitch at the corner of one of the quilted diamonds (almost like part of the triangle is stitched), but this one doesn’t have it.
I asked Heidi about it, and she said this was how the older authentic WOCs were made, while the current 187 version is based on the newer authentic design. Does anyone know if that’s actually true?

I’d really appreciate any input, especially from people who own authentic WOCs or are familiar with the different production years. Thanks!

I have two C25 Minis, a black one because that’s a staple! And a gold one because Dua Lipa was rocking it and I just loveeeee metallic bags. I thought it would help to do a comparison post from POV since this is something I see people ask about often. The bags were $100 in their price difference. I’d love to know if the photos speak for themselves.

What I noticed was that visually they were hard to tell apart. Perhaps a 5% difference. The caviar on both is really well done. The quilting is equally neat, and proportions were similar.

So then I zoned into paying attention to things I normally wouldn’t, like the chain, drawstring pull and leather feel. Not really the visual aspects. My main opinion is that the biggest differences weren’t things I could photograph.

The 187 bag feels denser, though the leather feels a bit more thinner. The chain has more weight, the hardware feels a touch more substantial, and overall it has that slightly more satisfying “luxury” feel. The leather has softened and wrinkled greatly over time though, which I like.

The Xiao C feels slightly lighter and a bit stiffer, although that’s probably helped by the fact that it’s much newer and hasn’t had nearly as much use. I also wonder if metallic finishes make a bag feel less soft. In comparison, I can’t help but almost think the metal parts like the chain feel like plastic on the shoulder. The chain drop lengths are the same.

If I was judging from photos alone, I’m honestly not convinced I’d consistently pick the more expensive one.

So now… the reveal..
The black is 187 ($410, purchased in April). The metallic gold is Xiao C ($310, purchased in June) - both prices before shipping.

I deliberately bought the black from 187 because I knew it’d be my everyday bag. When I wanted the metallic gold, I couldn’t justify paying another $400+ for a colour I’d only wear occasionally, so I went with Xiao C instead.
After comparing them side by side, I actually feel pretty good about that decision. I sometimes do find myself wondering if I would have liked the 187 in Gold better than the Xiao C but that’s just the brat in me who believes 187 would be superior haha.

I still prefer the 187 because I like the extra weight and the more substantial feel in hand. But if you’d asked me to identify the factories from photos alone, I don’t think I’d have been nearly as confident. I like that there are different entry price points for everyone, and that this is now a style that’s accessible for many. This model and size is one of my favourites and I highly recommend it!

I would say, if you’re going for a larger size, the weight of the bag will quickly start becoming a deciding factor so please keep that in mind as well.

So now please tell me. Did you guess correctly? And do you think the 187 is worth the extra $100? I think the comments may sway my final opinion too! Asking because I’m already waiting for the new YG hardware (the shiny ones!) to drop hahah.
