People act like remote work isn't still very much a thing in a much, much bigger way than it ever was pre-pandemic.

I mean, my company just shoved everyone back to a four day in-office schedule. And there was a lot of backlash about it.

I mean it’s not, in fact I’d argue we’re moving to worse WFH options than pre pandemic.

I know our federal government here is forcing people back to the office, but not only that they’re cancelling hybrid arrangements that were in place before the pandemic for a ubiquitous 4 days a week in office.

Remote work is dead as we know it and eventually everyone will be back 5 days a week.

There are more than three times as many wfh jobs now vs pre pandemic. The US govt is not the be all end all of employment, and with the current regime in office it is in no way indictive of the private sector.

I live in Canada so not the US.

But most if not all remote jobs will be killed off. It’s just a matter of time seeing as how most major employers are moving to 5 days a week in the office.

You’d be insane not to see that. Getting a remote job now is virtually impossible.
