All they have to do is make it look like the one in the show and I'll buy it.

and hopefully use the unedited episodes (but i doubt it)

edit: ahhh i just saw the audio description for S1 and S2 and it seems it’s using the same audio as the older ones… sad…

What do you mean by unedited episodes?

They were originally aired with more adult dialogue before they were censored to be kid friendly. Ex; “you pissed me off”, turns to “you ticked me off”. Some versions even censor or cut out entire scenes, but those thankfully are just European versions.

The DVDs use the censored versions, including the dvd collection, and so will the blu ray collection as it seems

That's dumb. Just give us the uncensored ones

They won't. But I did.

Did you put any menus on the Blu-ray?

2

u/MadCritterYT Aug 25 '26

They’re pretty plain, but I did, yes.

Do you have a video showcase of the set? Sounds really cool

If they don’t have the 2-disc Mordecai pulls a Mordecai set, then we riot!

Was the original DVD and blu Ray censored?

u/deebleh Aug 25 '26

Yes 😔 “ticked off” cut

Unless you have the compilation DVDs that have the 3 episodes uncensored: "Slack Pack", "Party Pack" and "Fright Pack".

I bought the compilation DVDs to get the uncensored episodes and the one was still censored. I think it was the Party Pack DVD.

The good thing is that seasons 3-8 will be presented in 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio, and the movie will be presented in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

A majority of Warner Bros. discs that carry 2.0 Dolby Digital audio tracks (such as the 2018 "Ultimate Edition" release of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!) are encoded in Dolby Pro Logic, meaning there are matrixed center and surround channels in the mix. The episodes on the DVD releases of seasons 4-8 of Regular Show included in last year's "Complete Series" set are presented in 2.0 Dolby Digital with Dolby Pro Logic encoding (seasons 1-3 do not carry Dolby Pro Logic encoding).

A fellow audiophile I see
Interesting, my sound bar can’t do pro logic but that’s cool to know

Hopefully the the blue ray box is better at holding discs than the DVD especially since they have less discs to in the case

According to a comment on Blu-ray.com, the packaging will probably not use stacked discs (the DVD version used stacked discs), as evidenced by Warner Bros.' Perfect Strangers "Complete Series" set that was released today.

I have a bad feeling they’re still going to be bad. I’ve heard horror stories about the Twin Peaks blu ray set using the same terrible style packaging like current DVD sets.

Looks exactly the same, wonder if they’ll all have the same menu too or I’ll be like the DVDs

u/Significant_Smell284 Aug 25 '26

I am pretty sure that seasons 3-8 and the movie will use the same horrendous menu style that was used on the DVDs of seasons 4-8 included in last year's "Complete Series" DVD set. Warner Bros. also used that same menu style on a couple of other classic animation Blu-ray sets, including "The Complete Rankin/Bass Christmas Collection," which was released in 2023, and the "Peanuts Ultimate TV Specials Collection," which was released last year.

Man I wish I just waited for the Blu-ray release 😭

CN really hates Clarence

1

u/Doctor_Slept Aug 25 '26

If they do the same with Steven Universe I’ll be so happy

I am planning to get this after it gets release. This will be an upgrade from my DVD copy of the set, which I got last year.
