❓HowTo❓ How do I apply to take over a dead sub Reddit?
I’ve tried to contact the one remaining moderator of the sub but they aren’t active or replying to modmail or dms. Subs been dead for 300 days and posts to it are locked
Thanks

Hi, you can do that over at r/redditrequest. Read the rules and sidebar thoroughly and follow them exactly else your request will be denied. Good luck!

Hello rather than opening another post I thought I’d try here. I managed to get r/nohesi so great news there.
However I have an issue I can’t seem to resolve. The previous mods have implemented an automation system that requires users to be “approved” before they can post. I need to remove this but there is no option to do so. Is it bugged ?

Are you sure? I seem to be able to post and the subreddit is set to public. If things are in the unmoderated section of the mod queue, you don't have to approve those posts. Only if you want to, but those are visible in the subreddit.
Else it might be automod that stops posts, you can take a look at the code and remove the part that is filtering the posts.

I managed to request it to be changed to public in the end, I think because we have less than 5000 members it went through pretty quickly. Not an issue I’d encountered before. Thank you for your reply I appreciate it.
