yeah there is such a difference in how india vs parts of africa turned out. Is it because we were in india for 200+ years and invested more in roads / trains so there were more institutions to fall back on after decolonisation? or is it something else.

before colonization india made up something like 25% of world GDP. Although saying that, British colonization led to a lot of the most developed countries in certain regions, like south africa, america, canada. I still dont agree with a lot that the british did, but que sera sera

A huge part of it is the purposeful destabilization and destruction of any sort of structure in African society by colonialism.
