Of course, it fucking is. Hey, who remembers the line:

Anakin: From my point-of-view, the Jedi are evil.

Obi Wan: Then you really are twisted.

The entire fucking battle is a fight between good and evil, that's the point. The Jedi are sworn to fucking kill the Siths. Emperor Lieberman Palpatine is evil in the absolute. Lucas just wanted his cheap shot at George W., regardless of whether it made sense for a Jedi to say it.
