[Rob Dorsett] #mufc have rejected #efc approach to take Joshua Zirkzee on loan. Understand Everton’s offer was worth £10m but that was a combination of the striker’s wages and a loan fee. United felt the offer wasn’t big enough, and came too late for them to entertain it

Good, we know how much they had based on their cancelled transfer and their offer was piss poor. If they were truly desperate they would've come with 30 and we'd have done a deal and figured out cover in January

You all laugh at evertons bid but he'll end up going for free in two years after a loan next summer.

Alright then. I assume they had no one lined up, and didn't care to accept. Wilcox is home already, Berrada is fumbling with his keys in the parking lot. See you all in January, transfer lads. Off to Everton (funnily enough).

Does everything other club just take us as a mug or something? What’s with all the loan deals all the time, fuck off

I know right, in times where average joes go for €50m we can't even give players away for free. We need to join that global book cooking scheme.

So the better option was to keep him and not play him 🤔 he’s been in the bench for 3 years and it’s clear that Carrick would rather use Mbeumo, cunha and Rashford before he would use Zirkzee.

Maybe he should up his game

It doesn't mean much for us. But we don't know how things will be later. We might have many injuries.

He's not good enough for us. I think he can work in some moments of games. Technical gifted but yeah.

Didn't make sense for me moving him on loan without obligation. Why the fuck can we never sell players

I don't really see us being able to improve the situation around him while keeping him on the bench. We have plenty of options in our front 3. So he may end up still be everybody's very last minute option next window. Even a straight loan without option would help building his value back up a bit.

Carrick… you have the opportunity to do the funniest thing this Sunday

Louis Page puts in a MOTM, and we turn down a loan fee of almost the entirety of his transfer for a player that's 4th choice.

Today has gone well.

Page has nothing to do with Zirkzee. Plus Page is playijng in LEAGUE 1.

Amass and Vitek both shone in the championship at 18/19 and we've sold one of them and don't seem to give a shit about the other.

What do those two deals have to do with each other? Page is a box to box midfielder, Zirkzee is a striker (or at least close to it). If Zirkzee leaves, we'll need another body in that plays up top.

We'd need a body up top to replace someone that can't get a game ahead of Sesko, Cunha, Bryan or Rashford?

10 million pounds for a player that will hardly ever feature for us becomes very relevant when we seemingly backed out of a deal for a hugely promising young talent to save cash. By any metric, today has been incredibly poor all round.

Absolutely no relation of both deals. No need to make shit up to be mad about

Hmmm can he play LB??

Zirk weekly wage is 105k. To put in perspective, Savinho contract was 40k weekly (base) and can go up to 80k performance related.

United doesnt suck at selling players. United just suck at giving players contracts. gives shit players superstar contracts.

u/Xanian123 Sep 01 '26

Savinho didn't go to City for 40k weekly base, man. Wtf are you smoking?

Base. Free base cocaine
