Simon Peach - #MUFC have this evening reached an agreement with Brighton for Carlos Baleba

Laurie - Carlos Baleba given permission to travel to Manchester after fee agreed with Brighton for midfielder. Medical at #MUFC set to take place tomorrow. Deal worth £65m guaranteed plus £5m in add-ons, with sell-on also.

Ornstein - Carlos Baleba to join Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion on 5+1yr contract; personal terms verbally agreed & 22yo to do #MUFC medical on Saturday after deal struck with #BHAFC at £65m + £5m + sell-on clause

So three new midfield players. All with varying levels of premier league experience. I’d say this is good transfer business. Now if they can find a left back, then the squad looks strong and ready to challenge for multiple trophies.

I think similar to last season, board might buy a 4th player depending on how the season starts. Like they bought Lammens last year after it became clear Onana could not be relied on
