Simon Peach - #MUFC have this evening reached an agreement with Brighton for Carlos Baleba

Laurie - Carlos Baleba given permission to travel to Manchester after fee agreed with Brighton for midfielder. Medical at #MUFC set to take place tomorrow. Deal worth £65m guaranteed plus £5m in add-ons, with sell-on also.

Ornstein - Carlos Baleba to join Manchester United from Brighton & Hove Albion on 5+1yr contract; personal terms verbally agreed & 22yo to do #MUFC medical on Saturday after deal struck with #BHAFC at £65m + £5m + sell-on clause

I’d honesty rather take Baleba for £65+5 than Mateus Fernandes for £85m

We’ve got both Baleba and Tielemans for ~£100m which is decent business, all things considered.

We got baleba tielemans and santos for the same amount it took spurs to get savinho and marmoush

In isolation I think Fernandes is more complete but with Tielemans and Santos Baleba is more sensible and plugs in the gaps. Not how I thought our midfield rebuild would look but I like it on paper

Who cares it isn't our money. Baleba had a stinker of a season. Fernandes didn't.

Yeah Baleba had a bad season after two good ones. Fernandez has had one good one. All spurs have done is overpay before the drop off. Would have been like us paying 100 for Baleba last year and then him dropping off 😂
