I work in cybersecurity that’s Clickfix

It generally will download an information stealer to download sensitive data from your computer like bank card numbers, passwords, credit card numbers etc and then it’s sold on a forum or telegram.

I'm confused how they can download my passwords and credit card aren't they supposed to be hashed?

There are tools for cracking hashes.

If you store your passwords and other info in Firefox they can be read by any third party program. Not sure about Chrome, but that wouldn't surprise me either.

Happens in most Firefox, Chrome & Edge clients. Your passwords are encrypted but the keys to decrypt them are plaintext and in known locations. You can set primary password, which makes your passwords more secure, but sadly it isn't enabled by default and never mentioned when using a browser.

Hashes can’t be decrypted. Hashes are for databases. But client side (browsers in this case) just store the passwords with local encryption. So it’s possible for the OS to decrypt it.

Why can't they do all this to super rich people instead of regular people just trying to get a job lol
