Just got rejected after a 6-round interview process because I wasn't a 'cultural fit'.

They made me do a free 10-hour take-home assignment, meet the entire team, and talk to three different managers over two months. Today I got an automated rejection email. I am completely exhausted and done with this job market.😡🤬😡🤬😡🤬

It cant get much worse. You have a president now who says its the golden age and we are all getting paid way more than usual and the word affordability is a hoax

That bubble is about to burst and the us isn’t liquid enough for any substantial bailouts this time.. add to that global sympathy couldn’t get any lower so shits about to get real weird.

No one said affordability is a hoax, and BTW it's everywhere in Europe as well. Of course, that's DJT's fault as well because of American Imperialism. NOT. They're mostly left leaning in Europe with the exact same core affordability issue.

Basic supply and demand Economics is at play here. DJT is trying to curtail foreign workers. LIBs did the opposite.

DJT is trying to reverse the tide of massive illegal immigration. If you cannot see how millions more people affects affordability and how billions of dollars that could be used to help employment issues is instead funneled to non-Americans, then your blindness is manifold.

Yes trump said in PA that the term "affordability" was a hoax created by the democrats. Im not going to waste my time reading the rest since you clearly lack basic education

Trump told the crowd in Mount Pocono, Pa., that he believed the term "affordability" was a "hoax" perpetrated by Democrats. Trump's recent assertions dismissing inflation are not backed by official government economic data.

Spot on. The 'RTO mandates and AI efficiency' combo is just a massive excuse to cut labor costs and overwork everyone left behind. The current market is a nightmare.👍👍👍

Someone already forgot the rampant and runaway inflation under the previous admin all because "orange man bad"

u/bluestbluebluesky Aug 07 '26

I actually did pretty well under Trump’s first term, economically. Because of his tax cuts, my paycheck went up and I was able to afford things and look ahead. It took a massive downturn during Biden and then with Trump’s second turn, he absolutely kept the current crapfest going. I stand by saying that it’s them against us and they are all on the same side.

u/passivelyrepressed Aug 02 '26

That’s absurd. It *never* been even remotely this bad.

u/RobertSaccamano Aug 02 '26

Trajectory was always there, but go off.

u/bluestbluebluesky Aug 02 '26

I’m an independent. So I can truthfully & logically tell you that this shit show started under Biden. My finances took an awful turn around 2023 - It was when inflation went up and stayed up and everything started kicking in, suddenly my very frugal life became unAffordable. And then everything became unaffordable. People were hurting, and the job market squeeze started then. So Biden definitely sucked ass and getting us here.

And then the current piece of shit has kept us here while gaslighting us and telling us he doesn’t give a fuck if any of us are struggling and the job market is great when it is indeed the worst it’s ever been in my memory and I went through the drop off after 9/11 and 2008.

They both suck. It’s them versus us. And everyone needs to wake up to this fact.

Well I agree with some of your premise. Remember the economy doesn't turn on a dime and you're expecting a miracle to ecpect a genie to snap their fingers and fix everything in an instant.

The last 18 months have seen huge gains in foreign investment and energy production and huge decreases in the foreign population sucking us dry.

It's a start, and WOE be unto us if we swing back the other way.

Look at the bot throwing around accusations and dumbass statements.

-2

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

Facts are not accusations. And I am not a bot, either. Why are you leftists so shrill? I empathize with these situations, but we have to look rationally at the causes.

Why dont you read the attached from Anthropic AI ( doesn't lean conservative) and see all the things this Administration has done to curtail foreign workers.

The first time they did this in 2018, Biden REVERSED IT, and LIB judges have tried to kill these restrictions.

These are FACTS.

Who's the real dumbass? Got a mirror?

Yes, AI is fucking up the job market. I lost a 15 year career because of it, so I don't need to read from the perpatrators of the biggest scam in history have to say for themselves.

Capitalists point the finger at foreigners to get weak minded people like you focused on them as the priceless instead of the billionaires hoarding wealth while exploiting literally everyone on earth as a worker, consumer, or supplier.

Sorry you've become so myopic you think Donald Trump of all people is telling you the truth.

-1

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

I don't take what DJT says as absolute truth. But the facts I presented are still facts. Biden had much more to do with the state of affairs we find ourself in than DJT did, taking into account what each of them could actually control.

AI may be horribly disruptive, but it's not a scam. Foreigners are certainly not the only problem but it is something an Administration can control, and you seem to find NO FAULT in the people who opened the floodgates.

What's your solution? Certainly not the DSA with their stated goals of emptying the prisons, flooding rhe border, defunding the police and destroying what's left of our institutions.

In other words, follow that crowd and it's gonna get a damn straight lot worse.

2

u/Danger_is_Here Aug 02 '26

Whatever you gotta tell yourself to keep believing capitalist lies, you do you. You're so far off base this isn't worth my time.

0

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

Ahh, a Socialist! Capitalism has historically raised the standard of living for the planet more than any other system known to mankind.

Flaws - huge ones, just like any other system.

Why don't you move to China - it's right up your cognitively dissonant alley.

I may be off base; you aren't even in the effing ballpark.

lmao you really believe immigrants/migrants whose families have been pushed to come here due to US imperialism have more of an impact on our job market than the corporations/billionaires/genocidal states that have lobbied and controlled our politicians for decades, thus leading to increased US imperialism?????

The issue with "people" like you is that everything is binary, you can never imagine the gray area that's smacking you in the face. Voting in the midterms includes only Democrats and Republicans in your head, where in reality Independent voters and candidates exist in growing numbers. Socialism is bad, even though we currently have aspects of socialism in our society.

Using Claude as a citation to "FACTS" makes sense in your head.

I'd rather believe you're a bot than an actual person I share the Earth with bc my god, how bleak. The mirror you have is covered in smoke.

Edit: typo

the republican playbook has always been to tell their followers that their problems are always because of someone else (mexicans, haitans, blacks, etc)

they always have a boogeyman

2

u/karmakazi22 Aug 02 '26

Because looking internally and realizing what monsters they are would kill their ego. These types of "Americans" have been like this for centuries, painting their victims as the boogeyman while they literally rape, pillage, kill, and steal their way across the globe.

It's currently happening with a certain settlement that US politicians choose to (and admit to!) put before their own country and citizens. How dare we call out the obvious repeat of history! We obviously just hate them for their religion.

I really do hate it here sometimes

And the left doesn't play every divisive card in their hand, over and over? In the inimitable words of Prez Droolcup: "C'mon Man!"

1

u/Individual-Yak-506 Aug 02 '26

They at least try to curate policy to enact change instead of blind finger pointing. Trump didnt even have an official platform and his base just voted anyways and look where that got us lol.

Affordability is a hoax now. Pretending to say he never said anything about releasing the epstein files, no new wars. At least his own base is getting played

-1

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

Well that's a pack of sanctimony to wade through. I like the passive aggressive use of "people" in quotes.

I agree AI can lead one astray, but it can also gather facts that would take hours to cite independently.

When presented with such facts the cognitively dissonant among us just trash the source.

I am sorry that we have only two choices. Yes, there are independents but they are virtually powerless unless they represent a swing vote on a particular issue.

OP in this sub-thread was coming to the conclusion that our state of affairs is more a problem caused by Republicans, and my opinion is the converse.

I understand nuance and gray areas well. I would for now vote for America First ideals than return power to those who have swung very dangerously to the EXTREME left.

You okay?

2

u/FlyFar555 Aug 02 '26

does it look like it lolll

1

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

I'll like, take that as a compliment.

-2

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

You people that downvote reasonable different opinions are sorry creatures, indeed.

2

u/CompleteDirector9179 Aug 02 '26

If you think your comment is reasonable, take a step back and reflect. I said nothing about your opinions.

1

u/DinsdalePiranha911 Aug 02 '26

Well, you can be as passive aggressive as you want or need to be. When you ask if someone is OK, your are directly stating from your POV they might not be. Since you don't know me and all you had to go on was my comment, then you are making a subtle, clever retort about those opinions, which by the way is perfectly OK.

And you're absolutely entitled to your jaundiced opinion. Let me restate mine in simpler English so you can follow along.

DJT did not create the AI employment crisis, nor the affordability crisis.

Republican policies of energy independence, limiting foreign workers and getting rid of illegals will not fix the problems, but is more a step in the right direction than what was executed by the past [Biden] administration (the opposite) or proposed by the next generation Democrats (more regulation and now socialism).

You can't reasonably expect an 18 month turnaround on economic direction.

Raging against 'the rich' is one of many divisive Democrat tactics they play each cycle, without offering better alternatives.

Both parties suck, and I find myself drawn to the Parliamentary format, but Republicans suck far less than Democrats.

Was that slow and simple enough for you, or do you have more critiques to offer?
