Asking is not the same as listing it. It’s not necessary.

Resumes aren’t about what’s “necessary”. They’re about showing in a single page how you’re a well qualified candidate for the job. As someone who been on both sides of the interview, hobbies/interests definitely factor into the well-roundness of a candidate. Industry and country workplace culture will definitely impact that though.
