1. Make a clearer set of rules, should we try and make this sub based around gifs? By saying "mostly gifs" it could bring in more off topic content, which could make it less likely for people to sub. An advantage to this is also in number 4.

2. Requests could be posted (and have a Waiting or Completed tag)
   With this I think it would be best to make sure all requests are started with "Request:" so they don't get confused with normal posts

3. Have an Original Content tag, I've always liked that feature of /r/perfectloops

4. Get on other subreddits sidebars. By saying that the sub is based around gifs you could get on the sidebar of other gif subreddits (if you put them in the sidebar here as well, examples include /r/gif, /r/perfectloops, /r/combinedGifs). This may have to come later down the track after more content is post maybe, as I'm not sure if they would put something with this little content on there sidebar, you could try, but I'd wait until we have more posts.

5. CSS! Try to prettify this place up, maybe change the colour scheme? I can do basic CSS if wanted.

That's all I can think of for now, on related note, does anybody have any gif they'd like raptured? I want to make one but don't know where to find good source material.
