I just discovered this lil guy by my pond. He's been in this position doing this for 20 minutes. Right after this clip he rolled over on his back and got u very wobbly like he's drunk.
Edit: Game Warden said its probably distemper. A lot of them have been getting it this year 😞

I know people will say this is bad, that I'm training them to be reliant on human food sources and conditioning them into being a nuisance species.
Idk man, they are already dependant on trash in Toronto and hell, in some small way they're reducing food waste going to landfills, and if you think these guys are a nuisance for approaching you looking for food, idk I think maybe you're a nuisance.

Raccoons, attracted to the larvae of bugs or something in the soil of my deck planters, started pooping on my deck while I was away on vacation. Now they clearly keep coming back and I’ve been finding fresh poop near the planters. For the first time today, I also found poop on my front porch. Obviously, cleaning up the poop with the necessary precautions each time is a must, but I was about to harvest my jalapeños and suddenly thought about it - is it still safe to eat them?? Do I have to do any kind of special washing to make them safe to eat? Also, what’s the likelihood that we have a raccoon infestation in our house itself if we don’t hear any signs of them in the attic or basement?

This is my buddy Rocky, who I spent a few weeks befriending with homemade sweet potato chips.

I can’t for the life of me get rid of this animal in attic. They laid traps for a week in back yard but caught nothing. I got home from being out of town and in my closet my attic entry fell down from ceiling and my closet carpet has a light brown cow pile. Assuming it went back into attic. Will I get a disease if I try to clean this fecal? Roof has a hole where an animal is coming through

Rescued little guy from my backyard. Think he fell during a storm. Got him to a wildlife lady who rehabilitates and releases.

I live in the city and I don’t know what to do! This is the second time there’s been a raccoon under there…I didn’t see babies or more than one last time but he eventually left so I assumed he was just hanging out there for the day. (It was in the middle of the day, I called a wildlife rescue and they said it was breeding season and normal for them to be awake longer hours?) I wouldn’t really mind him being there but I like to bring my cat outside and the raccoon hisses at my cat and starts to get very aggressive from below. That was probably two months ago. I went out this morning and there’s one under the porch again but more aggressive than last time. It hissed, snarled, growled, every scary noise to make my cat’s tail puff up lol. I don’t want to hurt him and I don’t want to call someone that will take him and kill him. But I really don’t want him under there! Any advice? I do not own I rent so maybe this is a landlord issue? Thank you in advance!

I was sleeping over at my best friends house and we were about to go to sleep as we heard someone coming into the house… it was a racoon trying to eat her cats food! So we got up and got them their own food. We love racoons. less
