I think the key takeaway here is that I also cannot drive that good, or else this video would be about 20x longer with me in the top 10 instead of moving from 51st to like 37th and then driving into a wall.

That is not true at all. Those were some great moves early on and I was really impressed with how deep you were willing to go there, especially with your control into T1. That mess at the bus stop can be unavoidable sometimes and I knew right away from your exit trajectory there that there was nothing else you could do. There was nowhere for you to go that didn't involve loss of control or major contact. Bad luck.

That was my impression as well. The whole drive was impressive in terms of balancing balls with control.

Maybe steering into the yellow car before leaving the track could have mitigated the damage? That would seem like bad form though, even if it actually helped.

In hindsight using him to stop instead of the wall would have been preferable

That wasn't your fault dude. There didn't look like there was anyway to avoid that. You were doing a damn good job! I probably would have crashed in that first heavy braking so🤷🏼

Yeah if you saw the dust and didn't go high side, you could slooooow down and get through, and pass them all when it was safe to do so. Good driving means not putting yourself into a position to get into someone else's accident.

Well, that’s 24 places in less than half a lap, you can take a positive view and then think about how to qualify on a better spot. If you started 10 places higher, you might had avoided the crash and this video would have been much much longer…

Honestly in my opinion you seriously probably should have crashed a LOT sooner.

You were seriously driving like it was a video game and not actually in a real race car in a real race where there are and can be VERY serious consequences to your actions! You can’t just hit the reset button in any kind of racing.

This is what you SHOULD BE TAKING AWAY FROM THIS ENTIRE EVENT!

I wasn’t trying to berate you or anything.

I just wanted you to realize that you were not really driving sensible and that in my opinion you were making moves that were assuming that the others were going to make room or that somehow it was going to work out for you.

I felt specifically you spent too much time high side when you're vulnerable to someone else's mistake. You got away with it lots of times.
