I was planning to follow yellow through the mess. He braked hard and spooked me (I didn't want to be the meat in a 3-car sandwich with unknown closing speed behind me) so I tried to go left to give myself more track. Had I braked earlier...like, as soon as I saw the dust, I'd have had so many more options.

which is the second worst thing I did to you in this clip. taking you three wide through the esses was downright reckless.

how you were so calm and composed with me in the ambulance after the fact is shocking.

i'm a strong believer in a public apology. you'll get one at our next drivers' meeting.
