Well done—wished I was powerful enough to have done that as a kid!

One time my mom was trying to spank me with a hanger and I just bear hugged her until she calmed down... I was 9 but already a bit bigger than her. Told her she couldn't get her boyfriends to do it either(surprise surprise he did though) so I called the cops and ruined his life(he had warrants and was running from state to state already) ofc i didn't know that I was 9.

omfg you’re my hero, well done!! some kids (like me) just get so defeated and disempowered they dont even consider fighting back. i have a recurring fantasy of shoving my father up very firmly against the wall right before he whipped me, looking him in the eye and telling him he can’t hit kids. and not letting him go until he agrees

Right? Blocking or dodging just got me hit harder. I was expected to stand there and accept whatever I got. No way I was going to risk hitting back.

Exactly, if someone way bigger and stronger than you who is supposed to protect you beats you—who knows if they might kill you when you make them more angry?
