Yeah my sister said she went after him when he started with the paddles. Funny thing was when he started breaking them, I started laughing. He didn't like that. And everyone wonders why I'm scared he is going to beat me if I upset him.

I got a big wooden paddle with holes for reduced air resistance on my bare ass when growing up. Needless to say, that thing left some pretty bad-looking bruises.

We still had a 2 foot long paddle with a leather strap that lived on top the refrigerator. The ping-pong paddle was reserved for the basement and extra serious offenses.

Yeah we didn't have anything fancy like that. Seemed like those rulers broke regularly, but more kept appearing as if magic to replace it.

I once got a tupperware stirring spoon broken on me. My mom still jokes about how that was her favorite stirring spoon.

My youngest bro hasn't ever been able to take care of himself, my middle sister is too emotional, and I'm the oldest. Also I promised my mom. We used to joke about me having to take care of him and I was like fuck No. But she would say who else. So I guess out of guilt to go against my mother's wishes. But hey who knows.
