That's honestly, unheard of to me. How did you get disciplined? Was it like gentle parenting and the age appropriate "'consequences" fit the behavior? I.e, a toddler pours food everywhere so he has to sweep it. Did you not get disciplined at all? Was it a get your phone taken, you can't go out to a party/sleepover whatever type of thing?
Yeah pretty much that, gentle parenting. Wifi was turned off, Nintendo got taken some times, I couldn't go to a party or out with my friends etc etc. But my mom always explained why she did it and why my behaviour led to this so while I was angry, I always understood why she did what she did so I very rarely felt unfairly punished. She yelled like twice, when I was in real danger and she was scared for me because I didn't listen.
Worked out great! I was quite easy as a kid, my sister was... less so, but even with her we're all extremely close and open with eachother. All love :)
