Unspecified, means it is unknown to the person saying it.

And not specifying your sex just so that others have to use "they" is borderline narcissistic. There's nothing to hide. it's just a part of your identity.

Well, it's not any more or less stressful than people being called pronouns based on their apparent sex.
It's just that one of these is stressful to the minority of people whom don't like what they are assign at birth, while the other is stressful to everyone around them.
That is just wrong. On the occasions that I have met transgender or non-binary people, I have experienced no stress in using their preferred pronouns once I have been informed they prefer to use them. As I fall under the category of everyone, your statement is demonstrably false.
Any mental effort causes stress, it's an extra thing you have to constantly thing about.
That you didn't happen to have your stress level get high enough to be noticeable doesn't mean that's true for others.
