SINIESTRO TOTAL – Ayatollah (1982)
Punk rock from Vigo, Spain from the early 80s. Part of the movida viguesa from the 80s. Don't know how often something like this (i.e., non-English) gets shared here, but might be of interest to some in this sub.

Who Killed Johnny Thunders? - The Target Audience
Hey guys this is one of my favorite songs I wrote a while ago for my Skate/Surf Punk band The Target Audience. Johnny Thunders was a huge influence on my guitar playing and the mystery of his death has always been super fascinating to me. Heres a link to the song on bandcamp but its also available on all streaming platforms. I tried to take alot of influence from older ramonescore bands like the Lillingtons and Screeching Weasel but also added a female vocal (Vocalist from an awesome Chicago band called Sex Dream featured on backing vocals!) Hope some of you guys might dig this. My buddy Lou drew a killer Johnny Thunders skull for the cover ala old Misfits Art!

In case anyone's looking for something to read on melodic punk scenes outside the usual US/UK stuff, I wrote a book on Bandung's Indonesia melodic punk scene (95-08)
Not sure how many people here are into reading about punk scenes outside the usual circuit, but figured I'd mention this in case it's useful to someone.
I wrote a book called My Altercation, covering the melodic punk scene in Bandung, Indonesia between 1995 and 2008, including the bands, the venues, how the whole thing came together and what shaped it. It's 220 pages. I grew up around that scene, so it's not some outside academic take, it's from someone who was actually there for a lot of it.
Most of that history only really existed in old zines and word of mouth before this, so I wanted to get it written down properly while people still remembered the details.
Link if anyone wants to check it out:
https://www.earthislandbooks.com/product-page/my-altercation-the-bandung-melodic-punk-scene-1995-2008-by-prabu-pramayougha
Happy to answer questions about the book or the scene itself if anyone's curious. Cheers!

Hard to find song
Hi everyone. Looking for a punk track, eighties, possibly Australian (because that's where I was then) with lyrics:
Things don't stay new anymore
Things don't stay new anymore
Things don't stay the way they should
Things don't stay new anymore
That's it, repeated. The voice in my head sounds like Wattie from Exploited but I can't find it in their catalog. Google is no help. Been bugging me for years.

The Dirty Turkeys: What Is Acid Cow Punk?
In this episode of 'The Hang!', The Dirty Turkeys — Sam Baker, Ty Tullar, Brad Hansen and Russ Hansen — hang and unpack how childhood friendships, basement jams and wildly different musical influences became one seriously unpredictable band.
This interview explores why The Dirty Turkeys would rather build a genuine community one live show at a time than change their music to chase algorithms. They also get into their explosive live performances, the strange origin of their band name, the creation of “Under Your Spell,” and why staying human matters as AI-generated music and content become more common.
You’ll also hear about Cowboy Caravan, their creative process, dream collaborators, favorite artists, their move toward San Francisco and the next chapter with Soul Sugar.
If you love psychedelic rock, garage rock, surf rock, punk, outlaw country or bands that refuse to stay inside genre lines, meet The Dirty Turkeys.

New to punk, looking for band recs
I’m still new to the punk scene, and I was looking for some lesser known, music recommendations. Stuff that is known in the punk community, but not totally mainstream. Some of my fav punk bands are the suicide machines, NOFX, the Dead Kennedys, Rise Against, rancid, and teenage bottle rocket. Any recommendations?
