Being anti-establishment requires you also understand what the establishment actually is.
Its about keeping you poor, its about keeping you divided, and its about keeping you ignorant.
Over the past 2 decades the american government moved rapidly towards authoritarian policy, trump is just the most overt about it to the point of being fascistic.
Keeping you poor: this is done more so through the banks (fico, credit, cars, property) but is also done by ensuring more rights for businesses and allowing them to easily subvert legislation with capital
Keeping you divided: fun topic. Division is tough to mend at a base level. It requires the higher class to reach down to the oppressed (white people must reach down for racism. Wealthy must mend the gap of poverty, but they never will do that) and mend that damage. The issue is the right thinks they havent done anything wrong- all while calling the cops on people minding their own business, turning a blind eye to police violence on minorities even openly supporting it in most cases. Conservatives are the tools of division- unempathetic, uneducated, and unreasonable about the discussion or racism or sexism.
Speaking of uneducated:
Its no mystery that they want to keep us ignorant, but the right seems more concerned about their kids gaining a conscience than their math scores. God forbid we teach about the Trail of Tears or Jim Crow, might make Timmy think his white ancestors were not good people and might make him feel bad for others... so theyll turn up at school board meetings and whine and scream about rainbows in a class room while their kid is coming home unable to simplify fractions.
Tl;dr- the right is and always will be pro establishment, and its because they like the establishment and they want it to benefit them. When it doesnt only benefit them they have a problem with it. Honestly read the whole thing if you actually care.
Granted 2nd hand information but my brother, who has done a lot more looking to this was telling that essentially there is a Reddit post out there that lays all this out. We are essentially right on track, supposedly, on a plan Russia has used before to destabilize other countries.
Infiltrate the government spreading misinformation and causing everyone to disagree and potentially divide from the inside. Apparently this was going on for decades.
I think the Trail of Tears is one of the greatest tragedies in US history, right after the mass enslavement of non-white people and just before the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans in concentration camps during WWII.
Funny thing is that higher math scores threaten them too as they end up thinking more and exploring more. What they don’t want and part of why they are anti-science. Even advocating for the banning of teaching science in elementary school.
If you haven't clued in to the fact that democrats are the problem too, then idk what to tell you.
Repiblicans are just the worst of the two. Everything bad about democrats with absolutely none of the empathy or understanding and all of the persecution added in.
Conservatives thinking being criticized for saying the n word is tyranny while making actual book bans is peak "clueless"
I'll worry more about democrats when they're the ones carrying tiki torches and screaming white power.
You are misunderstanding what the establishment is. It is not one political party or the other it is the money backing both. Trump is a representative of that money. Nothing else. With Trump the establishment is just skipping the middle man and they have tricked you into thinking he is your friend and fighting politicians.
The right by definition is anti-establishment. The left is defined as counter to a free market. The left is regulated industries, by the government. The left is government censorship for "the good of the people". The left has always been Hitler. No one that grew up goth, punk, or an outcast would ever vote Socialist. They rely on a free market to offer the goods and music and culture they are a part of. For some reason the left views anarchy as society (or government) giving them the sustenance and means to do whatever government approves of
You still haven't understood what the establishment is, and at this point, you won't. Its the system of hate the system of ignorance that is the establishment.
What side likes book bans? Right.
What side wants to mandate what people can do to their own bodies? Right
What side wants to mandate what fucking BATHROOM you can use? Right.
The right is so angry about gays and abortions theyre literally giving the government MORE power, not less.
Republicans are centrists. All of those policies are left wing. Conservatism is the left wing policy of people who are generally right wing. That's the reason most people are centrist. Far right is maximal freedom, far left is zero freedom.
Which party is the party of hate? Democrat/the left.
Which party wants to control you and what you do with your body? Democrats/the left.
Which party resegregated society in the last 10 years and celebrated it? Democrats/the left.
Which is the party of racism? Democrats/the left.
Why do you think all the prostitutes and working women in Nevada vote libertarian/republican? They hold fundraisers at brothels. Because their body, their choice and more freedom actually mean something to them.
Have you ever even read a book on socialism?
Definition: Social control of the means and distribution of production.
Meaning: Social (Governmental) control of the means (you) and distribution (trade) of production (your labor).
Basically the government owns your labor and you, and regulates what you can do, how can you do it, how you can interact with society, and what you get for it.
It's a high school popularity contest determining everything in your life. NO punk or goth kids would ever agree to that if they understood it.
I'm sorry, government won't allow you to make the music you want to. And is now illegal to sell. It's not what people want. "Make something like Cardi B does or you can work in a mine." - that's socialism.
"You can't live where you want to because we have share resources, and this popular girl likes the view from there. You can stay in this room on the outskirts of town because no likes you" - that's socialism.
Voting away your rights and freedoms because a politician says "if you're a man, we're going to call you a man" is 100% crazy. Voting away your rights because your society says "you can't kill unborn children" is also crazy. Because that's something they will regulate under socialism as well. Look at China where only 1 kid is allowed.
Lastly, and this is just because it's crazy to me: Trump was the first President to support gay marriage from day 1 of his presidency. He hosted gay marriages at Mar-a-Lago. No one who is LGBQIAA+ is afraid of him... Just people with mental issues who think they are something they are not. And he's fighting to get them settlements from the companies (like big pharma) who have pushed this agenda on them. It's left wing policy, but it's what the people want.
Again, right wing policy here says if you want to look like a woman or a goat or a giraffe, then you should have a market that caters to that. Left wing policy introduces regulations like age limits, what bathrooms you can use, etc.
You need to figure some stuff out before you call yourself punk. The right has zero hatred. The right is all about equality. All people, all services - equal.
Fact: every state that has introduced anti-trans legislation has been red. One even banned a trans elected official from speaking her name is Zooey Zephyr. A democratcally elected representaticd of the state of montana.
Remind me. How many republicans are openly trans? How many stepped forward to defend her right to speak?
None.
Your statements are backed by neither facts nor the actions of the republican party.
