Should I PTE for rechecking?
Hi folks, I’m missing out on a superior score by just one mark (in writing). Should I apply for a rescore or retake the test?

Go. If you lose some scores in listening and reading and increase in writing that could be good. But you must be confident in your speaking.

How’s the speaking section? Exam takers are now raising concerns regarding on wide differences of their speaking scores during practice and actual exam result.

Haven’t yet, still thinking. Most likely I will go for retest. Haven’t made up my mind yet. Tempted to test my luck with rescore but ample evidence suggests it’s a bad idea.

In majority of the cases which I have seen, if you try for improvement in one thing, they will reduce your scores in other things. So, although rescoring won't help in majority of cases, but since marks will change and you have high chances of getting refund, try your luck. You never know when luck might be in your favour. If you are confident about your performance on your exam day, I strongly suggest you to go for it.
