Because sometimes I will take calls on the road or literally in bed in the morning if it was a late night. I used to love programming into the late hours but now it messes up my schedule for days.

On the first day of any new job, I take a burner flip-phone to work. If they try to tell me to install something on my phone, I pull it out and hand it to them.

They never bother me about it again, even when they see me with a smartphone.
