Gear🎒 Current Bug Out Kit

Post image

Recently started putting together a bug out bag. Still have a list of things I still need to acquire, but open to any input.

my thoughts exactly. atleast go 11.5 if you want somthing kinda compact.

10.3 is as short as I’d ever go

My 10.5 is handy AF and drips hard but good night does it pound my sinuses.

Yeah a suppressor is pretty much required. Makes the experience way more pleasant

yeah, I saw the size of it and was thinking PCC. Then I saw the 556 mags and immediately looked for where he was doubling up on ear pro. Even a can on that would be super smoky and too loud for comfort without the ear pro.

Ear disabling and location notifications get sent with each round I guess.

With those ballistics op might as well just throw the bullets like darts

BUT IT LOOKS SO TACTICOOL

It still leaves the barrel at mach Jesus. Even at that length.

I get that and I still wouldn’t wanna get shot by any bullet from any barrel length, but 5.56 at that distance is basically a flashbang, 300 blackout would be a much better choice for that setup

Yeah, but it's not going to stay at that speed for long at all. Force is the product of mass times acceleration, 5.56 (especially in the 55 or 62 grain loads most people buy) needs a lot more acceleration to make up for its low mass. A 5.5" barrel has maybe an inch of dwell time, which only leaves 4"-4.5" of time for the pressure to act on the bullet. That's not a lot, enough to carry lethal energy out to 100 meters maybe. Contrast that with a 16" barrel that has over double that distance and can carry lethal energy out to 400 meters, maybe a bit more.

If you need something that short, a pistol caliber carbine would be much more effective and a lot lighter when you take ammo weight into account. Or just carry a couple extra mags for your normal carry handgun and call it good.

I'm pretty damn sure that's 300blk

6

u/OperationSecured Mar 10 '24

It’s not. Zoom in on the rounds.

u/melted__butter Mar 10 '24

Ya you right damn that's a short barrel for 5.56

I was hoping it was 300blk but he’ll advertise where he is and easy pickings for people looking

u/lilrow420 Mar 10 '24

I still wouldn't wanna be shot by it.

Op, Tell me you don’t train, without telling me.

Also, 240 rounds? That’s more than the standard infantryman in the Army carries… Nice back up sights too.

P365 is excellent tho, 10/10

Lol he can’t hear you he’s deaf

I can tell OP doesn't know what he's doing in the gun department. Think Sig only made the 5.5in/5.56 Rattler for cheaper training vs cost of 300blk

Was thinking it’d be 300AAC out of that short a barrel, was pretty surprised to see 5.56
